I use one at work, I think it's the 700 ES and we are having a problem wit the element at the fron that heats up and melts the film as we wrap things. It keeps sliding out of the hole in the metal brace or plate that it rests in on either side. It just keeps falling out on the left side and we cannot push it back in further to secure it because it has the electrical wring that goes back into the machine to get the power. Also, our cover for the heat plate is shredded. Where can we order another one? Thank you!
Good morning - The Energy Smart wrappers have been designed to reach the temperature needed to melt the film, but are controlled so that they don't burn the film and create smoke. That being said - your machine should be reaching 300 degrees. Can you share the serial number of the machine so I can look into it's model and age? Rick, This type of wrapping is typically used for fresh "Take and Bake" pizzas. Full shrink wrap such as provided by our HDX250 combination shrink wrap system is recommended if freezing.
somewhat annoyingly, it seems the blade is never the right size when we always have varying sizes of pineapples on hand. If there were a way to dynamically adjust the diameter before each cut without having to change blades ours would be a bit less wasteful.
