Oh my God, what an amazing video. Max is my favorite character in this show and to see something that represents her so well makes me so emotional... Thank you so much for this ;;
I've never saw an Iroh video, don't remember at least! And you filled this gap just perfectly with this, Iroh gets the love and appreciation here he deserved, notwithstanding his past. The song reveals the character in the best possible way! This is a pure masterpiece! I always watch your videos whenever I remember about ATLA 1.5 years late? Haha, here's a comment 9 YEARS LATE. Never mind xD
I always rhough that the airbenders were the only ones who knew about the 10.000 years of the avatar. They built the circle of avatars like they knew it would end with Ang or Korra eventually
This was so heartwarming! Back in season one I was a big Merwen shipper before I became a HUGE Arwen supported with time but Merlin and Gwen's friendship is still adorable in the later seasons. Beautiful!
PS THERE ARE MY THOUGHTS ON AZULA, NOT ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS AMV, ITS BEAUTIFUL AND VERY WELL DONE!! also, if u disagree, this is just my opinion/thoughts. im not going into crazy detail bc i dont wanna sit here forever hehe. i really don't think Azula was that effected by her mother. She did as she was bid and was happy to be better than Zuko and loved Ozai's approval and the fact that she was so prodigious and powerful. I think that she was just so obsessive and perfect that when she made a mistake, or was 'betrayed' by Mai and then Ty Lee, she started to lose herself. She was so dependent and used to being better and more perfect than Zuko and everyone else, so she was going crazy with power-drunkenness and desperately struggle and grasp for the sense of her old self, of deadly perfection. She had seen that even though Zuko had struggled so much more to 'find his path or destiny', and had gotten true friends, that she lost that sense of her old self. She wanted more and more power, but she had no friends--and even Ozai likely didn't love her that way her should as a father-- and so she went crazy.
i also think that Ursa did love Azula, in her own way (for example, saying goodbye to her and whatnot) I think she just feared and worried that she would end up like Ozai and crazy, and just wanted her to have friends (true ones). Whenever she had those talks with Azula, she was trying to get her out of it. Azula grew up fundamentally wrong. Honestly tho, Azula's a baddie, but it was so cathartic to see her go crazy. I think she didn't necessarily 'deserve' a redemption arc (as people say she does), rather she needed one. But I think its good she didn't bc thats just realistic and life--not everyone gets what the need or want. Zuko was strong mentally and on the inside first, then became more powerful on the outside, as he found himself and true power and friends. Azula was 'weak' in that sense on the inside, and deadly, calculating, and powerful on the outside.
i wasn't gonna say anything cos this post is so old, 2 years old in fact, but this is just such a bad take. Why on earth would the complete climax of azulas arc be a hallucination of ursa if she was 'not that affected' by her. Like its right there, staring you in the face, the most important scenes that create depth for azula are about her mother. Sorry to drag this old comment back up but this take is just so incorrect.
@@MamoruMe i agree i think i'd meant more that was not her main reason to lose herself. her mom disapproving or being scared of her daughter did impact her for sure. I also wrote this because I think she wasn't evil because of her mother 'not liking her' or something; she already had a 'darker' side, her mother just acknowledged it as bad whereas her father praised and exploited it. her mother definitely effected her but I disagree with the people who think all her trauma is because of her mother.
@@anika-banikakee-kee1097 I think her nagging fear that her mother "was right" was confirmed by mai and ty lees betrayal, and everything you said is covered by hallucination-ursa's words which are just azulas thoughts. I understand better now what you meant i just think "not that affected" was the wrong choice of words because its more like "it was her only insecurity that was blown open by the other factors."
About Iroh: Iroh leads by example in such a profound and amazing way. When you think about it, everyone treated him with disrespect and called him a failure. Despite zero support from others, he gave to others. He chose humility, even after holding a position of power and might. And through all that, he played an instrumental part in changing the world. He showed us to be a good person, even when the world doesn't give us reason to be. Iroh is a very powerful firebender, he has the power to telekinetically create and manipulate fire and a retired general of the Fire Nation. He is the elder brother of Fire Lord Ozai, the ruler of the Fire Nation and leader of its campaign to conquer the other three nations. He actually was the fire lord but chose humility over that, he could've been the ruler of a whole nation but he chose humility over that. His son had to go fight in war and he died while that. There is someone called zuko, he is the fire lords son, but his dad doesn't like him because he isn't very powerful, his mother loves him but she is forced to leave or he will be forced to die. so Iroh got banished from the fire nation and so did zuko, iroh basically chose to leave peacefully but zuko was banished bc he spoke out of turn in a meeting. so iroh helped zuko find his path, but zuko hated iroh and thought he was a useless old fat man, but iroh never gave up and also iroh taught zuko how to fire bend.
This made me think for the first time that Jinora will prb grow up to be a great sage teaching the next avatar. What we see in the show is only ever this small snippet of what has to be a long and extrodinary life. This is a leader of the airbending nation.
I'm glad Korra is the avatar. Jinora was able to communicate with the spirit world which Tenzins been trying to perfect for YEARS. That's one thing Aang probably wanted Jinora to have. Korra is a great avatar.
You havent proven what is so great that Korra is the avatar.You are just stating that Jinora can communicate but has nothing to do with Korra.So please explain
@@hilo9565 Korra defeated 8 different villains while Aang defeated 1. Korra has growth in her Avatar journey. Korra is also the first metal bending avatar.
@@PatrickStar-fb7ms Yeah,because there weren't any major villians in the show of Korra,which I would have loved to watch.Most of the side villians were defeated or had character development (like Zuko.) in Aangs show.I do get your point,but remember that Aang was stuck inside the glacier for 100 years.Maybe he could have done better as he beat the "Phoenix King" by himself,which is saying how much Aang has grown in his journey as a avatar in his time.I will not be against though on what you said about Korra being the first metal bender as a avatar,which is insane on how much power she has within her.To be honest,I wished to have seen Korra having her difficult time trying remaster bending as she almost lost all her bending to a bloodbender to see how Korra could handle and how that event could trigger on how much she matures within the avatar role.Aside from all,I respect your opinion.
@@hilo9565 I agree with you too but knowing Amon, Zaheer, Unalaq and more Korra had way more to defeat than Aang. Also, I just read the books from Turf Wars and the other series it'll give you more in depth you may like to read those.
after 8 years THIS is still THE BEST Azula video i ever watched <3 i love the voice overs and the scene mix, it still makes me almost cry. everything fits to perfect.
