I bought this. Played TDM for about 3 hours and put it down and haven't thought about it since. I literally had to ask myself just now if I owned this game or it was some other one. Maybe I should give the campaign a shot

I am someone that was more frustrated than delighted by this game, and conversely I enjoyed dead rising 4 quite a bit. I know I mostly stand alone among fans of the series lol This remaster though? Watching you play it makes me very nostalgic. I think all of these QOL additions they made are aimed right at someone like me who does not reminisce on how brutal the original was

Funny how little you use the stardust cannon before giving up on it almost every time, don't even give it much of a chance. I've been saved against the queens by a much lower level SC on solo consistently. These levels are getting tough, I'm on level 50 solo on hard. Taking a while to get higher level gear on solo too, it's rough. Need to grind a lot or go MP which looking more and more as I go deeper.
Hey Lawrence when you were messing with refresh rates it reminded me that one of my monitors was also seemingly set to 59.97 Hz. I'm not sure why exactly, but under the resolution settings in the Nvidia Control Panel, if I used the resolutions listed under "PC" it would be 59.97 Hz but would be 60Hz with the resolutions listed under "Ultra HD, HD, SD". I am not actually sure what the differences are... PC's man.
I'm kinda glad but also kinda bummed they nerfed the convicts so much. They made the park shortcut so hazardous that it was a real risk reward scenario every time you tried to go through it, and when you did make it through, it was truly memorable. As it is in the remake, it's still hard, but completely doable.

Around the 5:04:30 mark you talk about how when games become popular and enter that mass market territory, I cant help but think that Monster Hunter is going in that direction with the success of MH World. And with its upcoming release, Wilds, It looks like its going away with its series charm and since World, its incorporating a lot of convenience in its gameplay loop. Part of the franchise that I liked was the inconvenience in some aspects of the game.
This one holds a special place in my heart, as this was a time where, Star Wars battlefront 2 had no space battles… in Star Wars. So it was awesome to actually get wars in space from cod, and it was actually good Edit: oh, if you’re looking for a challenge, beat the game on veteran to unlock the harder difficulty, because it changes the game completely. Your helmet can get damaged to where you can get one shotted in the head if you don’t repair it, can get shot in the hand and lose your gun, shot in the legs and you’d trip and fall to the ground, persistent damage where if you don’t use stems, you either limp or can’t aim, it’s extraordinary hard, but it’s very fun
Haven't seen a Helldiver's play in a while. Also, I love your accents, they're great, little things like Bruce pronouncing 'end' as 'ind'. I wonder if Rahul's dialect coach teaches a Californian accent or just a middle American accent.
The battery in the controllers is indeed horrible. But you're just wrong about not being able to replace anything. You can replace just about everything in them.
i think part of the reason for the pro is to capitalise on being able to say its the best place to play gta6 on release and take advantage of people that will pay for that.

44:20 don't I know it. Had several. They seemingly last like 6 months before something breaks. Made even better by the complete lack of third party controllers (presumebly bc Sony are stingy with the tech so they won't have to compete I guess) well exceptions for a few pro/elite/edge type controllers, but absolutely none of the typical third party stuff you'd see on every other system at a range of price points.
Took one mission to forget how inefficient Raijin is comparably, hilarious stuff. This is a series I'm saving as a classic to revisit in half a decade.
The youtube vs twitch video quality is like night and day I just hope twitch cared enough to actually compete in bitrate. RU-vid could put more resources into live stream side (quality of life, chat, discoverability). One might think that youtube would care quite a bit for keeping people on their platform.
