It sounds like you're encountering a prompt to purchase a license for a third-party software that you're using in the process. If you’re following a guide that doesn’t involve purchasing additional software, here's what you can do next: 1. Use Built-In Windows Tools: Windows Backup and Restore: You can use Backup and Restore (found in the Control Panel) to create a system image and restore it on a new drive without purchasing third-party software. Disk Management: Use Disk Management to clone or manage partitions on your new drive if the software you were using required a purchase. 2. Free Cloning Tools: Look for free alternatives like Macrium Reflect Free or Clonezilla, which allow you to clone your C drive without purchasing a license. These tools let you clone your current drive to a new one, and they don’t require a purchase for basic cloning functions. 3. Manual Transfer: If all else fails, you can manually transfer files by copying them to an external drive or cloud storage before replacing the drive, then reinstall Windows and transfer your files back afterward. Let me know if you need more help or want recommendations for specific free tools!

The problem I have and I cannot find a solution for it anywhere, is that my files are under other users and shared. I cannot access the files I transferred from windows to Mac. I tried changing the account settings aswell as every other tutorial. still the files cannot be found nor deleted. Its annoying as hell.
@indigosoftware9625

It sounds like the file permissions or ownership might be causing the issue with accessing files transferred from Windows to Mac. Here are a few things you can try to resolve it: 1. Take Ownership of the Files: Open Finder and go to the folder where the files are located. Right-click on the folder or file and select Get Info. Under Sharing & Permissions, unlock the padlock by clicking it and entering your admin password. Change your account to have Read & Write access, then click the gear icon and select Apply to enclosed items. 2. Use Terminal to Change Permissions: Open Terminal (Applications > Utilities > Terminal). Run this command to take ownership of the folder and its contents: bash Copy code sudo chown -R yourusername:staff /path/to/folder Replace yourusername with your Mac user name and /path/to/folder with the location of the files. This should give you full access. 3. Check for Hidden Files or Folders: Some files might be hidden. Press Cmd + Shift + . in Finder to reveal hidden files and folders, then see if your transferred files show up. 4. Disable Sharing Permissions: Go to System Preferences > Sharing and ensure that File Sharing is properly configured or disabled, as it may lock certain files under shared access. After these steps, you should be able to access or delete the files. Let me know if this works for you!

If the method you tried to activate Windows Server 2025 via Command Prompt isn't working, here are a few additional steps you can try: 1. Ensure Correct Product Key: Make sure you’re using the correct product key. You can re-enter it using the following command: bash Copy code slmgr /ipk your-product-key Replace "your-product-key" with your actual key. 2. Manually Activate: After entering the key, try manually forcing activation with: bash Copy code slmgr /ato This will attempt to activate Windows with the new key. 3. Check Internet Connection: Ensure your server has a stable internet connection, as activation requires access to Microsoft’s servers. 4. Activate via Phone: If the command prompt method isn’t working, you can try activating via phone: Type slui 04 in the Command Prompt, select your country, and follow the steps to activate via Microsoft’s automated phone system. 5. Reboot and Retry: After entering the activation command, reboot your server and try again. Sometimes a restart is required for changes to take effect. Let me know if one of these steps works!

when i send an email and go to the SENT folder i can see two files sent. How could I eliminate that?
@indigosoftware9625
@indigosoftware9625 День назад
Seeing two copies of the same email in your Sent folder is usually caused by a setting in your email account that saves a copy of sent messages both on the server and in Outlook. Here’s how you can fix it: Steps to Fix Duplicate Sent Emails in Outlook: Go to Account Settings: Open Outlook and click on Tools > Accounts. Select Your Email Account: Choose the email account you’re using from the list. Disable Saving Sent Messages Twice: If you’re using IMAP, go to Advanced > Folders, and make sure the option Save sent items on the server is unchecked. Check Your Email Provider Settings: Log into your webmail (e.g., Gmail, Yahoo) and check if it’s also set to save sent messages. If so, disable this option in your webmail settings to avoid duplicates. This should prevent two copies from appearing in your Sent folder. Let me know if this helps!

@indigosoftware9625
@indigosoftware9625 День назад
I totally understand your frustration! Windows 11 does bring cool features, but those performance and internet issues can be a dealbreaker. For the fluctuating download speeds, here are a few things you can try: Check Network Drivers: Go to Device Manager and update your network adapter drivers. Disable Power Saving for Network: In Device Manager, right-click your network adapter > Properties > Power Management, and uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power. Flush DNS Cache: Open Command Prompt as admin and type ipconfig /flushdns. Reset Network Settings: Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Advanced network settings > Network reset. If these steps don’t help, reverting back to Windows 10 may be the better option for stability until these issues are ironed out. Let me know if you need more help!

Huge help man, only question I have is when im on the project library screen it shows a caution symbol next to my projects on my ssd. What am I doing wrong ?
@indigosoftware9625
@indigosoftware9625 День назад
Glad to hear the video helped! The caution symbol next to your projects in the DaVinci Resolve project library usually means that DaVinci Resolve is having trouble accessing the media files on your SSD. Here are a few things you can check to fix this: 1. Check SSD Connection: Ensure your SSD is properly connected to your computer and is being recognized. Try unplugging and reconnecting it or using a different port if possible. 2. Relink Missing Media: If the media files have been moved or renamed, you’ll need to relink them in DaVinci Resolve: Right-click the project and choose Relink Selected Clips. Navigate to the folder on your SSD where the media files are stored. 3. Check Drive Permissions: Make sure your SSD has Read/Write permissions. Right-click the drive, select Get Info, and under Sharing & Permissions, ensure your user has Read & Write access. 4. Drive Format: If the drive is not formatted in a file system supported by both your OS and DaVinci Resolve (e.g., exFAT, NTFS), it could cause issues. You might need to reformat it to a compatible format. After checking these things, the caution symbol should disappear. Let me know if you need more help!

How do I get Outlook to stop saving files in my Library > Group Containers folder?
@indigosoftware9625
@indigosoftware9625 8 дней назад
Outlook for Mac saves data in the Library > Group Containers folder by default, but there are a few ways to manage or reduce the storage impact: Steps to Manage Outlook's Storage in Group Containers: Limit Offline Data: Go to Outlook > Preferences > Accounts. Select your email account and click Advanced. Under the Sync settings, adjust how much data (like emails) is downloaded and stored offline. For example, you can set it to sync only the last 30 days instead of everything. Clear Cache: Open Outlook, then go to Outlook > Preferences > Accounts. Select the account causing the most storage usage, click Advanced, then click Empty Cache. This will clear locally stored data, but emails will still be available in the cloud. Use Web-Based Outlook: If the storage is still an issue, you can consider switching to Outlook Web App for certain tasks to avoid large amounts of local data being stored. Unfortunately, there isn’t a built-in option to change where Outlook saves these files, but managing the sync settings and clearing the cache should help control the data stored in Group Containers.

Does it do multiple email accounts and all settings?
@indigosoftware9625
@indigosoftware9625 8 дней назад
Yes, Outlook for Mac can handle multiple email accounts, and you can configure each account with its own settings. Here’s what Outlook supports: Multiple Email Accounts: You can add accounts from different providers (e.g., Microsoft Exchange, IMAP, Google, Yahoo, etc.). Each account will have its own inbox, calendar, and folder structure within Outlook. Custom Settings for Each Account: You can configure unique sync settings, signatures, rules, and notifications for each email account. To access the settings for each account, go to Outlook > Preferences > Accounts, then select the account you want to modify. Unified Inbox (Optional): If you prefer, you can also use the Unified Inbox view, which displays all your email accounts in one inbox, while still keeping them separate in the background. Outlook gives you flexibility with multiple accounts and personalized settings for each! Let me know if you need help configuring them.

How do I copy multiple attachment files and paste them to a local folder on my PC or to another email ? In the old Outlook you could do that

@indigosoftware9625 8 дней назад
In the new Outlook for Windows, you can still copy multiple attachments and paste them into a local folder or another email, though the method is slightly different from the old version. Here’s how you can do it: Copy and Paste Multiple Attachments: Open the Email: Open the email with the attachments in Outlook. Select Multiple Attachments: Hold down the Ctrl key and click on each attachment you want to select, or Shift-click to select a range of attachments. Copy the Attachments: Once selected, right-click on any of the highlighted attachments and choose Copy, or press Ctrl + C on your keyboard. Paste into a Local Folder: Open File Explorer, navigate to the folder where you want to save the attachments, and press Ctrl + V to paste them. Paste into Another Email: When composing a new email, simply click in the body of the email and press Ctrl + V to paste the attachments into the new message. This method should work just like the old Outlook! Let me know if you need further clarification

@indigosoftware9625
@indigosoftware9625 8 дней назад
If your Contacts list in Outlook is grayed out and showing no details, it could be due to a sync issue or the contacts not being properly linked to your account. Here are a few steps you can try to fix this: Steps to Fix Grayed-Out Contacts List in Outlook: Check Account Sync Settings: Go to File > Account Settings > Account Settings again. Select your email account and click Change. Ensure that the option to Sync Contacts is enabled. If not, check the box and allow Outlook some time to sync your contacts. Update Outlook: Sometimes this issue can be resolved by updating Outlook to the latest version. Go to File > Office Account > Update Options, and click Update Now. Rebuild the Contacts Folder: In Outlook, click File > Options > Advanced. Scroll down to Export and click on Export. Choose Export to a File > Outlook Data File (.pst), and select your Contacts folder. After exporting, remove and re-add the account to see if it refreshes the contact list. Check Contact Folder Visibility: Make sure your contacts are set to show. In People view, right-click on the Contacts folder and select Properties. Under the General tab, ensure that the folder is set to show as an address book. Reset the View: If the contact list is empty or appears in gray, the view settings might be misconfigured. Go to View > Reset View to restore the default settings. Give these steps a try, and hopefully, your contacts will start showing up again! Let me know if you need more help

Problem is when i click 'install' the box that comes up shows it will install Microsoft 365 and I have Microsoft 11. Any way I can just get the Office 2024 installed?
@indigosoftware9625
@indigosoftware9625 8 дней назад
It sounds like when you're trying to reinstall Office from your Microsoft account, it's defaulting to Microsoft 365 instead of the Office 2024 you want to install. Here’s how you can address this: Steps to Install Office 2024 Instead of Microsoft 365: Sign in to Your Microsoft Account: Go to account.microsoft.com and sign in with the account associated with your Office purchase. Check Your Product Details: In the Services & Subscriptions section, look for Office 2024 or Office Home & Business 2021 (or whichever version you purchased). Make sure it’s listed there. Download the Correct Version: Click the Install button next to your Office 2024 product, not the Microsoft 365 subscription. If the installer for Microsoft 365 shows up instead, try locating the Direct Download Link for Office 2024 in your account under View product key and details. Uninstall Microsoft 365 (if needed): If Microsoft 365 is installed or attempting to install, go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features. Uninstall Microsoft 365 to prevent it from conflicting with your Office 2024 installation. Install Office 2024: Once the correct version is downloaded, run the installer, and it should install Office 2024 as per your license. This should ensure you’re installing the permanent version of Office (like Office 2024) rather than a Microsoft 365 subscription. Let me know if you run into any issues!

@indigosoftware9625
@indigosoftware9625 8 дней назад
If you're not seeing the option to reinstall Office Professional Plus 2021 on your Microsoft account page, it could be due to a couple of reasons. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue: Steps to Fix Office Professional Plus 2021 Not Showing in Your Account: Check if It's a Volume License: Office Professional Plus 2021 is often sold through volume licensing, meaning it might not appear in your personal Microsoft Account under Services & Subscriptions. If you received this version from your workplace or school, you'll need to use a different platform, such as the Volume Licensing Service Center (VLSC) or an activation key provided by your organization. Use Your Product Key: If you purchased Office Professional Plus 2021 through a third-party retailer, you should have received a product key. You can go to setup.office.com and enter your key to download and install Office. Check Microsoft Store: If you bought Office through the Microsoft Store, sign in to the account you used to make the purchase. Go to Account.microsoft.com > Services & Subscriptions and check if Office is listed there. Contact Support: If none of the above work, contact Microsoft Support and provide your purchase details. They can help you retrieve your license and provide the correct download link for Office Professional Plus 2021.

Here are a few steps you can try after some research I did into your issue: Repair Microsoft Office: Go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features. Find Microsoft Office, right-click, and select Change > Quick Repair. If the quick repair doesn't work, try the Online Repair option. Create a New Outlook Profile: Go to Control Panel > Mail > Show Profiles. Click Add to create a new profile, and configure your email account again. Set the new profile as the default and open Outlook. Disable Add-ins in Safe Mode: Open Outlook in Safe Mode by holding the Ctrl key while clicking on the Outlook icon. Once open, go to File > Options > Add-ins, and disable any non-Microsoft add-ins. Restart Outlook normally and see if the issue is resolved. Update or Reinstall G-Sync: Since you mentioned installing the newest G-Sync didn’t work, try uninstalling G-Sync completely and restarting your computer to check if the error goes away. Some users have reported that certain graphics-related software can interfere with Outlook. Reinstall Microsoft Office: As a last resort, uninstall and reinstall Microsoft Office. Go to Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall a program, select Microsoft Office, uninstall it, and reinstall it from your Office account. These steps should help resolve the error. My motherboard is glowing hot red, did I do it right?
@indigosoftware9625
@indigosoftware9625 16 дней назад
Haha, well, unless you're trying to give your PC a serious RGB makeover, glowing hot red is definitely not a great sign! 😅 Maybe it's time to turn it off before it turns into a desktop BBQ! 🔥 But seriously, if that glow is anything more than just lighting, you might want to check the temps and make sure everything's running cool. Stay safe, not roasted! 😎

Hey there! Thanks for the tips - unfortunatelly for me buying the 1€ Microsoft option didn't work. I can't view/edit my Canon Log-3 videos from my R6 mark ii in Resolve or view them on my laptop. I didn't get the VLC, because I suppose it wouldn't fix the problem of H.265 codec missing from my Asus Rog Strix G15 windows 11 laptop. I'm quite certain the problem is with me missing the H.265 codec, because I can't render H.265 videos from Resolve. If you've found an answer to my problem I'd appriciate it!

@indigosoftware9625 16 дней назад
That's definitely tricky. I did a quick research to help you find some solutions, here are a few things you can try :) 1. DaVinci Resolve Settings: In DaVinci Resolve, double-check the Render Settings. For H.265 rendering, you might need to switch to NVIDIA Studio drivers (if you have an NVIDIA card) as they sometimes improve codec support in Resolve. 2. Convert the Videos: As a workaround, you can use a tool like HandBrake or Shutter Encoder to convert your H.265 footage to a format Resolve supports until you get the codec issue resolved. Hopefully, one of these fixes works for you! If it still doesn’t, let me know and we’ll dig deeper

So my Bluetooth menu dont have any of that, can get calls to show but not msg 🤔 I see only Name device typr Share system notifications ( on)

t sounds like you’ve got the basics of the iPhone link feature set up, but there’s something missing when it comes to messages. Here’s what you can try to get messages working: Steps to Fix Message Syncing in iPhone Link on Windows: Ensure Bluetooth is Properly Paired: Double-check that your iPhone and Windows PC are fully paired over Bluetooth, not just for calls, but also for messaging. Make sure Bluetooth sharing is enabled on your iPhone: Go to Settings > Bluetooth on your iPhone. Tap the i icon next to your PC's name and ensure that Share Notifications is turned on. Check iPhone Link Settings on Windows: Open Phone Link on your Windows PC and go to the settings. In the Messages section, ensure the toggle is switched on for syncing messages. Allow Notifications on iPhone: Go to Settings > Notifications on your iPhone. Ensure that notifications for the Messages app are turned on and set to Allow Notifications. This is essential for Windows to show your messages. Check App Permissions: On your PC, make sure Phone Link has the necessary permissions to sync messages. Check under Settings > Privacy & Security to allow Phone Link to access your notifications and messages. Restart Both Devices: Sometimes a simple restart on both the iPhone and PC can help re-establish the connection properly. If after these steps you still can’t get messages to sync, it might be a compatibility issue with your device or specific app settings. Let me know if this helps! 😊

After doing this, I lost all but one calendar from the Outlook app (I had 5). How to fix this and are they going to come back if I revert back the change?
@indigosoftware9625
@indigosoftware9625 16 дней назад
Hi Juka, Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue! Steps to Fix Missing Calendars in Legacy Outlook: Check Account Settings: Open Outlook and go to Tools > Accounts. Ensure all your email accounts are still added to Outlook. Sometimes, switching versions can cause one or more accounts to become disconnected, which may explain why the calendars aren't showing. Re-sync Calendars: In Legacy Outlook, go to Outlook > Preferences > Accounts. Select the account that had the missing calendars and check the Sync Calendar option under the settings for that account. This will trigger Outlook to sync the calendars again. Switch Back to New Outlook: If you’re worried about losing more data, you can always switch back to the New Outlook interface. To do this: Open Outlook and toggle the New Outlook switch in the top-right corner. Once switched, check if your calendars have returned. Re-add Calendars Manually: If you still don’t see your calendars, you may need to re-add them manually: Go to File > Open > Open Calendar and select the calendars you were previously using. Restart Outlook: After making these changes, restart Outlook and allow some time for your calendars to re-sync from the server. Sometimes it takes a few minutes for all the data to populate again. Will Your Calendars Come Back After Reverting the Change? Yes, reverting back to the New Outlook should restore your missing calendars, as this version handles syncing differently. If the calendars were synced from an online account (e.g., Google, iCloud, or Exchange), they should return once the accounts are properly synced again. Let me know if you try these steps and if your calendars come back! 😊

Hi! Thank you very much for this video! I still wanted to know how to categorize my emails as I did in the old outlook. Mi account is not from google, its from my company and I set it up with imap.

@indigosoftware9625 16 дней назад
Hi! Glad you found the video helpful! In the new Outlook for Mac, the categorization feature isn’t fully supported for IMAP accounts yet. As a workaround, you can create folders to organize your emails or use flags to mark important messages. Hopefully, Microsoft will bring back full categorization support soon for all account types!

how can I find the product key for MacBook Air
@indigosoftware9625
@indigosoftware9625 16 дней назад
To find your product key for Office on your MacBook Air, try these options: Microsoft Account: If you purchased Office online, sign in to office.com with the account you used for the purchase. Your product key or subscription details should be listed under Services & Subscriptions. Email Confirmation: Check your email for the confirmation message from Microsoft when you bought Office-it should include your product key. Retail Box: If you bought Office as a physical product, the product key is usually on a card inside the box. Hope that helps! Let me know if you have more questions!

Hi Gabe, Apologies if i spelled your name wrong. I am getting an error code: 0x80072F8F - 0x20000 when trying to run the Media Creation Tool. Is this an issue now? I have just reloaded my windows 7 Pro 64 Bit and followed your steps. Thanks in advance for your help mate, Cheers Bernie
@indigosoftware9625
@indigosoftware9625 16 дней назад
Hey Bernie, no worries on the name! The error code 0x80072F8F - 0x20000 usually points to a date and time issue or SSL/TLS settings. Try these steps: Check Date and Time: Make sure your system date and time are correct. If they’re wrong, the Media Creation Tool might not work. Check SSL/TLS Settings: Go to Internet Options > Advanced tab, and make sure TLS 1.2 is checked. Also, uncheck SSL 2.0 and SSL 3.0. Try running the tool again after these adjustments. Let me know how it goes! Cheers!

@@indigosoftware9625 Hi Mate, tried for days and gave up. Loaded a copy of Windows 10 Home I had instead of the upgrade to Windows 10 Pro. I have done this setup several times over the years and probably once in 2023 without an issue. Not sure why this happened this time. Thanks for responding mate and found your video educational and I learnt a few things. I did update the date and unchecked SSL2&3, to no avail before giving up. Thanks again and wish you the best. Bernie

It baffles me how easy it is to migrate on an Apple device and Microsoft literally requires you install a random third-party programs that come at additional cost.
@indigosoftware9625
@indigosoftware9625 16 дней назад
I totally get where you're coming from! Apple’s migration is definitely more seamless, while Windows tends to rely on third-party tools for certain tasks like that. Hopefully, Microsoft will make it easier in the future without the extra costs! Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts!
