Spurs offered not much to give Arsenal any problems and were pretty toothless in attack, Haaland is a different beast physically and ability wise to Solanki. Its a bit like comparing a Rolls Royce with a Skoda (albeit Skoda have improved a bit like Solanki !). Man C are also a different beast from a creative point of view. It will be an intriguing battle but I suspect Haaland will get at least one goal. Calvert Lewin, a set and forget for ages, with his injury record, are you serious. Sounds like a narrative to justify a transfer if never there was one !
There seems to be 2 completely different camps of teams this week and scores this week. There were the people who downgraded Isak to Joao Pedro to which Joao Pedro wasn't even in the squad and these people also moved Saka to Salah which also didn't pay off that well and these people also had a double or triple up on Liverpool assets and may have had Watkins or another striker and got their captaincy wrong this week and got poor scores with a strong red arrow. Or there were the people who did really well and had the exact opposite players and had faith in the Arsenal assets over the Liverpool assets even against Spurs away and these people may have also captained Haaland aswell and altogether they had a super good gameweek with a green arrow. This could play out differently next week however with Arsenal now facing City in GW5 and Liverpool going up against Bournemouth it could be the complete reverse every gameweek like this and a flip flop between teams with the Arsenal assets doing well 1 week then not so well the next then vice versa with the teams with all the Liverpool players we will just have to wait and see.
It could, I think the best strategy is to essentially time certain windows. For example, I actually think having both Liverpool and Arsenal assets could be advantageous from GW5/6.
Top work Jian. Your contrarian style is a rarity in the FPL space, making it even more valuable. I held off on Saka + Gabrial (started both) > Salah + Dunk after your appearance on the Green Arrow. Honestly, I thought you took it too far not getting Salah, but here we are. Hats off
Thank you very much! I’ve actually toned down the contrarian (overly risk) style this year. I made a conscious effort before the season to play just much better FPL. I appreciate the recognition, if Gameweek 5 goes well, our teams could do truly brilliant things.
Thank you Jian. Appreciate your thoughts. Bad week 48pts, played Porro and triple up on Liverpool failed. WC6 incoming. Lost 220K in rank and down to 394K. Have Wood and may keep? Thought about Sels but went Handerson!
Considering isak and bruno to vardy and salah. Would have 0 itb after so will have to make the move early, don’t love vardy but I really want salah so idk
Hi Jian, off to good start at 1k looking to extend using wildcard when do you think is next fixture swings? Already have two Arsenal, Haaland, Salah, Eze, Mbuemo, and Trent. Plan to get Harvetz for Isak in GW6. Also who do you think is a good Hall replacement? Cheers Nilz
“Hi Jian, off to good start at 1k…” A good start does not equal 1k, that is a world class start my friend🤣 Congratulations! Your team sounds brilliant. I like Ola Aina if you have no cash. Porro is cool, Gvardiol from GW7 I also think I like a lot.
Man I remember vividly how i gasped out loud when you said you were excited for the swing with a possible liverpool blank through Sels. I thought “man surely he has gone mad there is no way liverpool loose to fkn Nottingham”. I guess some congratulations are in order haha. Everyday you seem to prove you have incredible analysis capabilities and you are probably the best FPL content creator out there. Keep up the good work mate, excited for every new video of yours
I have a similar setup to yours with 3x Arsenal and no Mo. 71 points and mulling over getting Salah in after for -4 or hiding in the woods the next weekend?
@@FPLJianBatra FINALLY! A content creator whose not hating on my boy Gvardiol😂. I also think the same that he'll smash it. I'm Currently ranked in the top 3k. My team: Verbruggen, Trent, Gabriel, Gvardiol, Salah(C), Jota, Minteh, ESR, Rogers, Haaland, Havertz, with Flekken, Harwood-Bellis, Cannon, and Barco on the bench. I have 0.4m in the bank and 2FT. I want to bring in DCL, the entry point seems great with LEI (A), to do so I need 1m which i could get by selling Minteh to a 4.5m mid to upgrade Cannon straight to DCL. What are your thoughts and any suggestions ?? Also, for Gameweek 5, who would you start between Gabriel and Harwood-Bellis ?
Top stuff mate. I'm looking to get rid of 2 of Muniz, Jota, and Isak with only 1 free transfer but am open to a -4 hit. Any advice as to which two to sell?
Thank you mate. I would probably get rid of Muniz for DCL this week. Then get rid of Jota & Isak next for Havertz & whoever. (Something to monitor however).
@@ReviveMe-z7v Duran's minutes are still a big doubt, he averaged around 25 minutes for the first four games. He does look extremely dangerous whenever he comes on though
6 millionth in the world 🔥No-Haaland has burnt me with the more expensive alternative assets failing whilst enablers haul. Mission is top 100k. As pep said, no more Pre-season, season starts now.
What a week! I went early on Isak > DCL last night expecting Isak to drop 0.1 (which happened). Never ideal going early but likely worth it. Although luckily if you didn’t then ESR price rise in next few days will allow the 0.1 to him to Salah - in which case - PHEW!! Haha
Would you rather start with wissa+mitoma/eze then move him to mbeumo and lose 0.1 in mbeumo or start with mbeumo and welbeck and move welbeck to wissa in gw6. I'm on WC
Content and the reasoning for ur changes are highly analytical with good reasoning. I'm keeping Son this week as I don't have any arsenal and I back him to return with the injuries that arsenal have. Plus keeping Son gives me at least an option for Captain in GW5 when I have no Salah. Yet with the news of Haaland possibly not playing tomorrow due to bereavement, I am considering a -4 of Gordon to Eze. I am wildcarding in GW6.
I think Haaland will play, so don’t worry too much about that. Solanke is back I’m pretty sure, so Son will be playing LW. I would be very careful about captaining him if he’s playing there. Much less effective in terms of FPL.
Thanks for another concise and straight to the point video. Your analysis is always on point. GW6 Wildcard plan. Here are plans for GW4 + GW5. I have 2FT and 1.5 ITB. Plan A: Son ➔ Eze; keep Gordon for GW4+5. Bring in Porro for Hall in GW5. Plan B: Son + Gordon ➔ Salah + Minteh for GW4+5 (captaining Salah in GW5). Plan C: Son + Gordon ➔ Palmer + Eze for GW4+5. Thoughts? Or any other alternative plan?
Thank you very much. Plan A if you think Haaland will do ok in GW5. Plan B otherwise, and just generally it’s safer I think. (I would go Plan A, to try and maybe not WC in 6)
@@FPLJianBatra thanks. The thinking behind GW6 wildcard is that I have Trent so it’s not easy to get to Mbeumo + Wissa + Saka + Remove Hall + smith-Rowe quickly without wildcarding and being affected by price changes. I already have double Arsenal, Gab + Havertz.
