Being sung from the "Round" Church in Munich, Germany. You can never be "cornered" by the devil in the "Round" Church. It's true. Love All of You! Normand (aka Norm) Been there.
The mixing on this is shit!!!! Are there no men once the women start???? This piece has incredible tenor and bass parts that are discarded essentially. Poor execution, incorrect pronunciation, not worth second listen. Try Cantus or Chanticleer.
I still prefer the original TTBB/TBB version with its narrower "spread" - but this one will do, just gorgeous. I continue to look for other works of such stature by this composer. Any suggestions? links?
This was sung at our parish Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, for her feast day 15 August 2023. It was the first time I heard it and I couldn't get it out of my head and I had to find it. Here I am now.
Beautiful composition, with the mixed choral harmonic music for the Ave María prayer and the monodia form for the rest of the Annunciation of the Angel to Holy Mary. Emotional and wonderful rendition of all these lovely singers. God bless all of you.
Ein beeindruckendes Werk des großen Orgelmeisters, sehr schön dargeboten - und vor allem sehr schön, auch mal die große Orgel von St. Peter in einer solch professionellen Aufnahme hier auf RU-vid zu sehen und zu hören! ;)
First time I've heard this piece sung by a mixed choir. What a difference from an all-male ensemble! Still gorgeous, of course, but several of the chords almost sound inverted. Also, the stunningly beautiful "amen" coda is far gentler than usual in this version.
Mal abgesehen von der wunderschönen Musik. Das ist wieder mal ein perfektes Video, wo die Musiker und ihre Instrumente voll zur Geltung kommen - aber auch der Raum an sich würdig in Szene gesetzt wird. Klasse !! Danke dafür !
