I like to bring a laundry bag, too. I've brought a full size one before, & it doesn't take up much more space (since it's not that much more fabric & it's not going to be filled with more clothes than you brought). But you could use an old pillowcase as a laundry bag.
This guy has figured it out- with experience and knowledge showing y’all how easy it really is. Life doesn’t have to be complicated. Thank you for the tips much appreciated my friend 👍 😃
The text lost me .... guess a 30 or 40 minute walking video would have done this stunning community justice ... maybe you can go there and do such as you seem to know the history quite well ... take care !!!
I can't disagree with you! That's always the last resort. However, we've found - at least in Western Europe - Laundries are very reliable and a far cry above what you find in the U.S. and Canada. They wash, iron, fold the laundry for you, at a reasonable price (in fact, a good deal) and we've never had an issue. Sometimes the hotel you stay at will provide a laundry service, which is also an alternative IF you need laundry services at all.
Fascinating... this was recorded in 2015?? Lockdowns, masks and vax passports have killed not only the Shakespeare Festival but the once thriving restaurants (72 of them) and boutique stores. It's really sad. It's still an amazing place to live if you focus on the natural beauty and local farms and community.
By "Killed" you mean all the amazing restaurants that have opened up in the last 12 months, and the 10 plays they are doing on 2024, along with the Cabaret basically selling out year round. Nearly every single town under 25k would KILL for all that...
@nathanielpaul1992 he's right it's surviving but the recession we're all in is slowly shutting restaurants and boutiques down for good. Before you know it, it will be just realty firms and banks downtown ashland.. already watching it occur before my very eyes since the shutdown.
When I was in SOASTC in the early-mid 90's in Grants Pass, we used to go down to Ashland to see plays twice a year, one was a Shakespeareian. That was late in the year we saw the Shakespearian one. It was really interesting, the top of the game of life really. I'm not so sure it's like it was though now.
This is really cool! I've never heard of this product before, I use a specific toothpaste that seems to be more expensive to buy in travel size than the full size because it's hard to find! I'll definitely be trying this product out, thanks for making the video!
Those tiny tubes of toothpaste only last a couple of days, so I love this method. The other choice is to simply set aside a full tube of toothpaste until it's about half gone, and then include that when packing your toiletries. Keeps it under the 3 ounce max that way.
LOL. Wile E. Coyote always comes up with innovative ideas, but he never gets the prize! Hope you found the video helpful! This is always a very complicated and divisive conversation locally.
ALSO - The City of Ashland has struggled financially in the past few years due to its *reliance* on OSF as its major economic contributor. The festival is in trouble and has had to cut back significantly,
As a “deep blue” city driven by progressive politics, Ashland has a growing homeless problem and tends to coddle and encourage them in their drug addiction and antisocial behavior.
Yep, "Deep Red" spots, like say the South, boy are they doing great. Top notch education, low poverty, hardly any drug use, low gun violence 👍 Checking notes... Oh. Wait. None of that is correct. 😂😂😂 The "Deeper Red" a place is, the WORSE those statistics are. Huh, weird. It's almost like the things they say on Right Wing radio are pure fiction meant to entertain than inform. Huh. That's for educating us 👍
Every 3rd person walking down the street or in the grocery store is some bloated, pale, unhealthy looking blue haired non binary bozo, or some wacked out lost soul hippie who just floats around all day like a ghost. Ashland is definitely not what it used to be
Please note however that these social media influencers want to be paid. Some, who have contacted local cities in Wisconsin want $12,000 for one visit.
What about, if one of the main places tourists visit in your town is a casino? And the Casino, of course, doesn't want people to leave, wants to keep them in their building? Thoughts?
Ingenious in some ways but mostly impractical and an extra nuisance. Just go to the dollar store and get as many of the travel size tubes you need for your trip. You are allowed to carry-on up to one quart of liquids so as long as the tube is 3.4 oz or less you can have as many as you want up to 1 quart. Or if you are going to be away for several weeks just purchase something where you go. Traveling is difficult enough nowadays and I personally wouldn't want to reuse this toothpaste 2 Go.
Absolutely! I've used this method for years, but admit it's a bit messy at times. If you use a particular toothpaste, you may have challenges finding it in some locations and it takes another stop. The tiny tubes of toothpaste you typically find at retail outlets usually only lasts a couple of days. You can always bring several with you - which I do on occasion.
@@DestinationDevelopment That's my point. Why mess with this Toothpaste 2 Go when you can bring as many of the $1 travel sizes you want or just buy one for your travel day and then stop at a store wherever you are heading for a larger tube? No mess, No fuss😀
Thanks, been thoroughly entertained - and I, too, travel 180 days a year...😊 Your system is very practical, and I was curious how you also fit a jacket in? Well, it turns out you leave that at home...VERY naughty, haha ! 😄
Thanks Cary! We just assessed Nicholasville, Kentucky (just south of Lexington) and we're on our way, this week, to perform an assessment of the Riverwalk in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Glad I ran across this channel. I will be departing Camiguin Island Philippines, to Orlando Florida in March, 2023 for 2 weeks then off to London England for 7 days in April.. This video was a great stop to learn to pack my carry on for a few weeks international travel.
Some great ideas. Especially the community ice rink. Located downtown is so important. Many cold-climate towns, like mine (Northfield MN) could learn from this town.
Roger, I watch your videos frequently and sometimes refer people to them to improve their presentation skills. You are an absolute gem of a communicator who uses language and inflection masterfully. Keep up the good work. That said, I’ve watched this a half dozen times and still can’t understand why you don’t just brush your teeth with the excess toothpaste in the tube. 😅
Absolutely perfection sir!! Even your brand of choice Tumi is well built; albeit a bit on the pricey side, their products are priced for that reason and last years 💼 🧳 ✈️
I bought a small round container and just squeeze my favorite toothpaste into the container. Now I have my favorite toothpaste and enough for a week or more.
To be critical, how much does the luggage weigh after packing? I ask because those international flights will weigh carry-on luggage (On this airline the limit was 15lbs which is pretty light) and I had to check my carry-on due to the weight.
Typically, most airlines have 30 to 40 pound weight limits. Typically, when I travel, it's right around 30 pounds. Fifteen pounds certainly wouldn't provide what you need for even a week! Heck, the luggage alone would probably weigh at least five pounds.
@@raularagon3141 I really like the newer composite hard shell suitcases, like those from Away. They are super lightweight (about half the weight of standard suitcases) and are almost impossible to damage.
