@@dearderekking I’m more than sure, look at the grill, there’s a difference between the 379 and the 389 grill. Also look at the cowl panels and most guys are not going to put those headlights on a 379.
Guess what it is not a semi truck😂. You and the rest of the billy bob trucker want to be's. You have no idea. Stop pretending to be something your not. We laugh at you when you drive by.
@@dearderekkingIsn't this bad for a synchronized transmission? Especially if you have never done it before and are not timing it properly? Do you just put a small amount of pressure on the shifter almost just to guide it into place?
@@dearderekking I’m just finishing up the 6.7, bought it with a bad vgt turbo, and slight front end damage. Did a 464 2g swap, just been driving it around town with no trailer yet. It’s has left me extremely impressed, need to get a good load behind and test it.
@dearderekking I'm leaning more towards the cummins for my 75 series landcruiser, only problem is they cost $20000 with gearbox and then you have to reinforce the chassis to handle the weight, torque and suspension haha.
@@dearderekking Oh nice!! I've got 2 gen 3 trucks, ones a 1/2 ton gasser. it just blew a headgasket. I'm considering either fixing it or selling it for a 12v 3/4 ton
Derek, can you clear my doubts? I've been researching a lot about the manual third generation RAM 3500, and in a video of yours where you were doing maintenance on your RAM I saw that yours was 2WD, my question is as follows, I want to buy one to load auction cars, with a trailer for 2 cars, from what I've been researching the third generation ram 4x4 has very bad front suspension, it doesn't have very direct steering, in the case of 2WD does this help? Is it a better truck to do this type of work, since it will spend most of its time on highways? If possible, could you also tell me what your overall consumption is when driving the trailer on the highway, loaded, and at what speed. Thank you very much, I've been following your videos for a while, your setup on the 3500 is what I imagine is ideal for me.
So the 4x4 uses a steering box and the 2wd uses a steering rack and pinion like a car so it's a bit more precise. However a 4x4 front suspension is still a perfectly fine setup if the steering box is in good shape.
