Hello everyone, my name is Devin Firle. I upload gaming videos mostly, but I do upload other things outside of gaming on the occasion. Feel welcome to browse through my channel. Hope y'all enjoy the videos. My content is not suitable for anyone under the age of 18.
goodluck❤ last resort with the thing you said about the case shorting it, maybe try to short the pins itself on the board instead of using the power button? but you shouldn't do it unless you know what you are doing, good luck!
Way to make me fel old af. They are analog mouse and keyboard plugs. Lol. Have you tried 1 stick of ram at a time? I doubt it is the issue but its easy to check.
Looks like af no point did the fan on your graphics card kick on. I think you just have a bad fan and also your gpu died. I just replaced a fan that was doing this same thing. I think issues are unrelated. New fan and new gpu or MB. Im still leaning gpu. (id trt to find a buddies to try your gpu in or vica versa). That will tell you which one it is. Im invested now.
im no professional, but might be the case's button failing or a bad connection between the motherboard and the case, check if everything is plugged correctly or ((if u can)), try a new case if still doest work it might be a problem with the motherboard since u said it was ancient, or maybe reset bios settings by removing the battery from the mobo and power cycle for a minute, then plug the battery again good luck bro
You should disconnect all the cables except the 24pin and the 6pin CPU, take out both ram dimms and start it. if it still doesn't start it narrows it down to either the CPU or the Motherboard, if it does work then it's one of the other components that you disconnected. I'm guessing based on what I saw that it's either ram or CPU. Since the ram is basically brand new I'd bet on cpu.
Just a suggestion to try out : take out the mobo keep it on the wooden surface, use the same power supply and try. make sure the cpu, ram and psu is only connected to check the behaviour. Even when you take it out do not connect anything else, try to check if you have spare RAM or PSU only if you have. While switching on the mobo use the flat head screw driver to shorten the 2 pins on the mobo to switch on. I would love to help lets go step by step to isolate the problem.
Another thing to add, this symptoms you are facing seems like there is something shorting inside, either your PSU or your Motherboard is trying not to boot up knowing there is a short to avoid any hardware damage. Do not do this but I had this thing once where the GPU was faulty and the press and hold the power button, it turned on but there were some ICs burned off while i was holding the power off because it kept shutting down same as yours. Probably there is a component which can be faulty and creating an short in the system.
Should try and boot the PC without a GPU, and ram, or 1 ram dim at a time, also check your USB port's make sure none of them are shorting out, if any of them are , that will make the PC start and shutdown to protect the cpu. And last but not least try replacing the motherboard battery, this is highly unlikely to be the issue, but they only cost like 5 bucks.
hi bro i been working on computers for 11 years, not to say its the PSU, that is a shortage buddy :) either something is shorting as a whole, or something is not getting power! i say try to replug your CPU power pin and 24 power pin good luck! if that dont work i would unplugg all cables like usb, satas, and optical try again.
I agree w/ this! I would try to "barebones" the PC, (only CPU, RAM, PSU, GPU if needed) hooked up and try from there It's also pretty easy to test power supply (using Paperclip method), so that could also be something he can do!
hello can i ask you something i had same issue 2-3 times and i found out that gpu's slot pins were on opposite side compare to other pin and the pins which were idk why changing its position were on very left of the slot. this still happens sometimes, what i do is take a needle and readjust it to its position is it bad or not?
I’m thinking this issue is the power supply the wattage could be too little also thermaltake isn’t that great I would recommend either corsair or evga a 650 watt should be plenty have you tried unplugging the gpu completely and seeing if it will power on? Also what are the specs? I can put the specs into a wattage calculator and see if that’s the issue I don’t see why a system like that would need more than 500 watts but it could be a faulty power supply, or a shorted or faulty component.
@thomaswilkins8168 my specs are cpu: ryzen 3 (can't remember the exact model number), GPU is a Asus Nvidia 1050ti, motherboard is an older asrock board, and 16gb of corsair ddr4 ram. I have taken out the GPU completely and it's still having this issue. I have also tried 1 stick of ram at a time.
@@FurryFirle Okay I would say at this point I would just focus on the power supply and the motherboard If you try another power supply and that doesn't work then most likely it is the motherboard since the gpu didn't make a difference and the ram didn't either and cpu failure is highly unlikely.
ok i dont think your cpu got integrated graphics can you check your gpu slot pins they are very tiny and if they arey damaged or miss aligned it might be the issue i had the same issue i just took a needle and realigned it if you want i can send you a picture of the pins
@VanshHype I forget what model number. But it's a ryzen 3. I could check that when I get at the computer again this weekend. I'll have more time than to see what issues it has.
@@FurryFirle okk. i had similar issue i also got a new psu and it was working fine for 1-2 days then it happened again thought my gpu's gone i had it checked it was working perfectly fine then idk somehow i spotted 3 of the pins of the gpu slot which (i m not sure) is for powering the gpu were not making contact to gpu.
hai :3, try your ram sticks 1 by 1 and if not then use an eraser to clean them and if that doesnt work, maybe your power supply could be the issue, or you could try to remove the cmos battery, it wont erase your data or anything just reset the bios
Not sure if im seeing it right, but is the GPU fan even spinning? Is there a way you could plug an hdmi directly into your motherboard and see if the logo screen comes up at least?
Hey bud. Sorry I just got time to hear the ramblings. Enjoyed it as always. My opinion you would be better trying to sell your car instead of trading it in. See what carvona or used car or those placing offer you. Other then that. Love you bud and miss you every day. Proud of you!!! You are doing good for yourself. I love hearing about work. I know you can't tell the whole stories. But being in the biz I know how they go. Love you. Talk soon.
