I used to build these vans and utes in south australia from year 2004 to 2007 on a contract as my own boss best job iv'e ever had. If i had the money i would try manufacturing them again.

They were definitely a unique vehicle. Nothing even close to them on the market now. From what I understand there was a lot of red tape and cost to get through each time Fiat or VW would release a new model.

Hello, all of our Braun lifts on our wheelchair buses where I work loosen up every day when folded and not in use. If we don't manually or electronically tighten up the slack every day they become loose and start banging against the window of the bus...does anyone out there know of a quick fix to this problem besides having to crank it up every day (even when not in use) or having to take it back to the shop? All of the lifts started doing it a month after we purchased the buses. Any help would be appreciated!

Could be air in the system allowing it to come out and jiggle.

I know this is a very late reply but the hydraulic cylinders / rams are probably leaking and the seals should be replaced. It’s a common fault with almost all ageing wheelchair lifts. As the cylinders seals leak they slowly lose pressure and fall towards the back door. It can happen in as little as a few mins to a few days. Running the pump again builds the pressure back up and it will function just fine but it will just continue leaking again if the cylinder seals are not repaired. There is the possibility that someone might have also used the wrong oil in the system which could have damaged the seals.
