I've always been a huge fan of the Pet Shop Boys since first hearing West End Girls in the autumn of 1985.
After that I bought every 7" and 12" (and imports) the day they were released (usually skipping school to do so!).
I'm not so obsessive these days. From the mid nineties onwards I didn't bother with singles any more, I just bought the albums. But I've still got my big box of vinyl and it's pure gold my friends...
So this is a small selection of some of the classic tracks by the Pet Shop Boys that I've managed to collect over the years. They aren't necessarily their best songs (some are - some aren't) - I'm just uploading the stuff that was commercially released but doesn't already have 100 other videos on RU-vid.
If anybody wants any particular version or mix of a track that I have, just let me know and I'll upload it onto this channel.
This has always been the best version, with a little twist blending the dub version on it nicely done. I remembered how we did back in the with vinyls and 3 head tape mastering recorders two thumbs up. It gave those goosebumps and set me back into my little studio, mixing just before all the newest software tools and looping ones came out to literally simplify everything
Now I listen to Hot Since 82 a Dj from the U.K. I listen to all his live mixes from Ibiza, Croatia, and the best one live at the Lagoon in Argentina on RU-vid. He was at Coachella last year.
Agree that this tempo is best for dancing, but I guess I still prefer the slower version. More mystery and buildup... maybe even a touch of sadness or menace. Thanks for posting, though. They're both worth listening to.
A masterpiece of dancesynth from Bobby Orlando which brought them closer to the stars 18 months later in 1985 but I do love this version very much. It's so filled with beatiful sound riffs and wonderful emotionel takes all through the song ❤👌🤗🙏🎶 love from Denmark in copenhagen 🇩🇰🙏
