I just ordered one (F) and my first fountain pen purchase. Partly to help minimise my plastics consumption/use, mostly for autographs and business signings. Cheers! ✍️
Thank you for the video. I am still having problem about v neck. I wish you showed us the part where you knit the bottom of the v neck. I am worried that v neck part become too wide without decreasing.
Darn! I thought I had settled on Esterbrook Estie Honeycomb for my next pen. Then I saw your Esterbrook Camden Oktoberfest! Beautiful and a little similar to Honeycomb. Now I don’t know how I will decide between them! On second and third thought I’ll probably stick with Honeycomb because I don’t like the bit of gray in Oktoberfest. And then I spotted Esterbrook Estie Sea Glass while I was on the website. Oh my gosh, what gorgeous blues! Now I feel I have to buy two pens! I could justify buying two pens if I stick with steel nibs, but I’m spoiled with the gold nibs on my Pilot and Sailor pens. Going with gold nibs will make it impossible to buy both Honeycomb and Sea Grass. I wish I could try the steel nibs to see how they write. Maybe I wouldn’t mind settling for steel?? I hope someone can help answer this question for me.
I will buy this pattern ONLY because of your awesome awesome tutorial. Thanks for doing this. We know it took you hour's of your time. It is so appreciated!! I want to try the ranunulus pattern so much but, haven't due to no tutorials. There are only bits n pieces tutorials due to everyone being afraid of the paid for pattern ordeal sadly. Grrr
To explain the nib swapping, for example I really like the lamy body and the shape of the grip and the weight of it but I really love how smooth the pilot nibs are. So I really really wish that I could put a pilot nib onto my Lamy. Unfortunately they don't fit. That and one of the perks of the fountain pens is that when your nib does eventually wear out- they do last a lot longer than a ballpoint nib you can refill like the pilot v5 cartridge system - you can just replace the metal nib, thus saving on a whole lot of waste.
I think it looks really good on you, even the length….the arms will stretch with wear and it REALLY looks fine, really nice definition…. My PROBLEM is that is am terrified to pick up stitches, my eyes are bad and I have purchased the barber cord…. Will try that on a small project as I think it is CRAZY to have to pick up stitches ….. it just ruins the whole project if not done well. Keep going - you have the gift! Georgia in BC
I have a question! I am ready to join in the round, but my yarn is on my left needle, not my right - I'm very confused and concerned I did something wrong at some point. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks so much :)
Great video!! Love how humble and honest you are!!! I want to do this too but, I cannot afford the special ingredients they use in this book. My youngest is a type 1 diabetic and my middle one is autistic I already have to buy extra special foods for them. What affordable ingredients did you use that I can also afford. God bless you ❤🙏
Loved your esterbrook collection and your stories!! I am looking to buy my first one for my birthday. I loved the Ferris wheel collab pen but it’s out of stock in all the places I looked. I have never taken my expensive pens outside, what you told struck a chord, I will be taking mine out :)
Thank you for this video! Can I ask what cast-on you used? I can’t quite envision where this row will sit in the completed sweater, so I’m not sure whether a special cast-on is required. I don’t want to end up with a visible line through the middle of the shirt. Thank you!
Thank you. It’s been 200 days since my last video. I have gone through a really intense bipolar depression/mania phase with some psychosis thrown in for good measure. I’ve neglected everything that brought me joy. I’m coming out now thanks to Jesus. I’m going to try and upload a video very soon.
Thank you SO much ! I bought the pattern this morning because of seeing your tutorial I dared trying the icord edge and the scarf and it works beautifully 💕
I DO NOT KNOW IF YOU WILL SEE THIS, BUT YOU ARE TELLING MY STORY AGAIN. THE ONLY THING IS I AM 81 YEARS OLD AND NEVER MARRIED. I AM ON MEDS AND HAD TO GO INTO A ''LOCKDOWN'' AT ONE TIME. I DID GET MEDS CHANGED WHILE IN LOCKDOWN WHICH HAS HELPED SO MUCH. I HAVE BEEN ON THM FOR ONE WEEK AND HAVE LOST 6 LBS. THANK YOU FOR BEING WILLING TO SHARE SO MANY YEARS AGO, SO THAT THOSE OF US KNOW OF OTHERS AS WE ARE. LOTS OF LOVE!!
