Trinidad and Tobago was blessed with the countless talented people and when there for that reason, everyone's favorite most influencial "Slinger Francisco" AKA "Mighty Sparrow" hats off to Trinidad for being the inspiration, motivating force of the Caribbean youth. Only that by 2024 many fraudulent opportunist came along with pretend "Soca" with just keybiard and drums calling themselves "Musicians", dismissed "Chaulkdust" and deteriorated the ART. If it's not loads of instrumentation and "Steel Pan" it's fake Calypso-Soca. Period.
The idea of destroying people started with "OPIUM" in our days when "Money" is many mentally compromised "God", it COCAINE that is the ew form of warfare.
I just don't like when you people get the name of the singer so wrong and would not make the attempt to correct it, yes written by the professor but the singer is Designer.
So I figured out that the Chinese man at the begging of the second verse was Johnny Ou Wai, and his "riding partner" was the then Minister of Finance Francis "Boysie" Prevatt. And I think the Canadian in verse 3 was Minister John O’Halloran, aka "Mr. 10%." O'Halloran earned that moniker as it was widely known that he skimmed 10% of the top of many deals involving the oil industry, construction, horse racing and even cockfighting. I think O'Halloran was the "big belly fella" that Stalin referenced in "Bun Dem," but I could be wrong. The man was an outright thief and almost got away with it but for the tenacity of the NAR government and Attorney General Selwyn Richardson. AG Richardson was able to sue and recover some $7 million from O'Halloran's son and the US/Canadian businesses that facilitated the corruption. $7 million is a lot, but god only know how much money Mr 10%, Boysie and Ou Wai stole from the public trust. I tell you as a child I had no idea the meaning behind the song. But now as an adult, I wish we had more courageous patriots like AG Richardson and his Prime Minister, ANR Robinson.
