You have to drill deep and maybe just use oil or something to get it started

I bought that same trailer from Vevor back in April. Definitely would've been much easier with a second set of hands, but I managed to get it together on my own. My only issue is the support for the bed of the trailer is a bit flimsy. I plan on having someone weld up all the seams and connecting points (prefer solid welds instead of nuts and bolts) and add some bracing on the bottom of the trailer...someday...maybe. So far, I know I've exceeded the weight limit of the trailer several times and it has held up. I've certainly put it through my own version of Kleeman Proof Testing! My Husqvarna 42" riding lawnmower with the hydrostatic transmission is strong enough to handle the 750 plus pounds of weight plus my own 186 pounds! Wouldn't use the older belt driven lawn mowers. I think it would result in early belt wear and shredding.

I was looking for a chain saw file and jig set. But I had no clue what size file I needed. Need to find the box the chain came in that was on the chain saw when I bought it, so I know all the chain and teeth dimensions. I don't think filing with the wrong size would do me any good! And considering price, having some cheaper but decent spare chains would certainly be beneficial for those times when you just don't want to stop and sharpen. Do that on the not so busy days. I really do need to work on my chain adjustment. I think I keep it a bit too tight because it seems too loose to me all the time. Probably wearing out the bar faster than it should. I do keep the bar oil topped off, so that is never an issue. And I need to start cleaning the chain drive and everything else more often. Dirt, wood bits, and chain oil tends to gum things up.

The current property I rent is bordered by city property on three sides. The city hasn't touched their part in 15 years. The number of dead trees because of the grape vines, poison ivy, and virginia creeper is out of control. It is also responsible for the death of several trees on the landlord's property. Not to mention the power lines and poles are being taken over by the trees and vines! I educated my landlord about the vine issue, and he is now working with the city to get busy and deal with their mess! I've been cutting as many vines as possible that are currently attacking the trees that we still have alive. As of now, the city working on a contract to have their 10 acres to be properly cleaned up and reimburse not only my landlord, but other property owners that have lost trees due to the city's negligence.

6:37 I'm not familiar with that particular transmission, but a common issue when a transmission pan is pushed up like that, it tends to close that gap between the filter and the pan and restrict the flow of fluid for the transmission. Not a good situation for the transmission!

That's an interesting law. If your neighbor bush hogs his property, then you have to bush hog yours. I'm sure there is a legitimate reason. Just be glad you don't have one of the neighbors who will bush hog every month! 🤨🤨 The 755 can handle the Woppa Choppa, but it doesn't hurt to do a thorough inspection and preparation for that big job! 💪💪👍👍

At least you aren't doing military Humvee tires. The older style isn't too bad. Both versions are split rims that are bolted together with an O-ring to seal the two halves. The older style has a two-piece lightweight aluminum ring as the run flat and is bolted together inside the tire, then it sits centered when the two rim pieces are bolted together. There are two grease packets glued to the aluminum that will burst and lube the ring and tire to reduce internal wear and heat generation. Typically, the aluminum run flat ring is a one-use design if a flat occurs. The shock from running flat would damage the aluminum and had to be replaced. The newer version had the same split rim, but more bolts to handle the extra weight of the newer Humvees. The run flat was a heavy solid rubber ring and a pain in the ass to put inside a tire. There was a specific ratcheting strap that had to be used to compress the run flat onto itself. Basically, taking it from and O to oval where the inside edges touched. Then you had to work it into the tire, which was a workout. Once inside the tire release the ratchet and make sure all hands and fingers are clear! Then you install the wheel halves with the O-ring and bolt it together. The rubber run flat ring was much more durable than the aluminum design and could be reused depending on how long and the type of terrain it endured during a flat tire situation. The worst one I ever saw was when the tire completely shredded and only the rubber run flat was keeping them rolling. Granted, the rubber run flat was unusable after that, but you couldn't do that with the aluminum run flat ring!!!! We had to learn to change them in the field when absolutely necessary, but it is so much easier when you order the entire assembly (wheel, tire, and run flat) brand new and return the old one to be rebuilt at Depo. We always had a stockpile of complete assemblies based on how many Humvees we had. So, there was a constant rotating supply. Saved so much time when you dismount the old assembly and mount the new assembly. The other benefit is they inspect the wheels and the run flat assemblies at Depo and reuse them if they pass inspection.

I don't have anything diesel, just gasoline and two stroke. It seems the tanks are catered for diesel applications. For gasoline they lean more towards the stand-up cart tanks. I typically have five 5-gallon gas cans for the riding lawn mower and two 2.5-gallon cans of mix for the chain saw, pole saw and weed trimmer for one season. Having a gas cart would be easier than the 5-gallon cans. Not worried about the mix fuel.

I always mark the two pieces that are mounted together so I don't get the orientation wrong. A chisel to mark both pieces is the best, or a paint marker (but that can be removed when cleaning). And yes, the manual typically will tell you the orientation and refer to a manufacturer's marking. 🤣🤣

I've had my 2003 JD 790 for about 6 years now. At the 4 year mark, the right front small 4wd gear wiped out. Replaced both the small and large gears and new bearings and seals. Now, the left front gear set seems to be having the same problem. Tomorrow I will dive into it and see if I can remember how I did it last time. Thanks for posting the video. It really helps out to see how someone else does it.

Fuel in most cases is the issue, ethanol, it’s expensive but canned tru fuel is what the fire department uses and your not changing out carburetor almost because of gunks up. I tried regular non ethanol gas but only last about 30 days or less causing rough running engine

MIKE, don't know why it is, but, I can fix other people's 'junk' and it works fine. Me? Not so much! Got a great Service star riding mower, rebuilt the carburetor with the proper kit, TWICE, delved into New plugs, coil, and various other parts. Non-ethanol fuel, everything new now, still got nuthin! Cranks, got spark just won't fire on its own, only on starting fluid. Guess its a lost cause.

I have passed along (given away) a lot of stuff for exactly that reason. It was frustrating enough that it did not start when I wanted to use it and I got even more bothered when a few minutes of trying to get it running didn’t magically resolve it (you’re fired). That was Phase 2 of life where I had little to zero time to waste on things (or people) that were not working well. Phase 1 of life…I happily collected others’ broken or non functioning stuff and fixed it. Phase 3….now I have all the time in the world and dislike yielding to things that really need to work. Even if I don’t want it anymore, I’ll usually fix it before I give it away to someone who does want it.

Hi Mike. I got one of those aftermarket carbs for a cheap chainsaw off ebay one time and it bolted in fine but only ran at wide-open throttle. I switched part of the throttle linkage from the original carb and all was fine. It wasn't from the company you mentioned so no bad reflection on them. Just mentioning it because once in a while, an exact replacement isn't really exact. The fix was pretty simple and if a fella had some mechanical aptitude, it wasn't hard to figure out.

Spot on with the comment “afraid of carburetors”. I have maintained thru out life that if it’s man made, it can be repaired, it’s just a matter of how much it cost if your not willing to invest some of your time and a few bucks in parts. There are some awesome deals out there. Thanks for sharing, enjoyed watching. W
