@@derekandleonie5636 I would put little bit of gray tape just for wash. Good review -getting back into riding been working for 30 years time flies-not particularly in buying Chinese-but annoying that Japanese don’t get their act together on what the rider wants-oh well-I am putting this as a potential with dr650 or this 450. Thanks for quick reply From Wyoming-u.s.
How's the bike do on the motorway with the 15t sprocket? Looking at ordering one for my winter commuter bike but felt the stock config was a little weak on the motorway trying to pull over 115kph. Cruising speed here is 130kph so would appreciate your insights.
Thanks and good to hear. Just dropped a deposit on this "beasty" here in the States site unseen (never done that before). However, iI figured that f my mates down under think she's up to the task, I'm in. She should make a good stable mate for my 990 Adventure From Rainbow Beach to the Whitsunday's , I've enjoyed exploring your exciting country multiple times. Next time it will be on a bike. Cheers from the Mountains of Utah.
Another review with a subframe filled with water. I've seen a number of reviews from Australia where they took those subframe members off and dumped a lot of water out of the frame. It makes one wonder where else it is collecting water.
Great video. I do have some questions, mate. Do you think the bike is comfortable enough to tour on? I am planning to go on a 5-country tour. The journey will be mostly on paved road, but will cover hills, dunes and beaches about 25 thousand KMs in total, I'll cover about 600-800Km per day. Is the engine buzzy at 100-120kph? What is the fuel consumption like? cheers
Having just the 1000 km service get done on my 45üMT, the only thing I am a bit wondering is, that the engine temperature so often reaches 90 °C which switches the fan/radiator on. Even today on a 12°C early automn day in Europe.... Had many bikes and brands, but never experienced this in a similar way, means so often having the need the fan to jump in. Anyone observing this as well?
@@derekandleonie5636der Lüfter läuft auch bei mir fast an jeder Ampel bei 90°C los er ist zwar leise das ist mir auch zu oft im Vergleich zu anderen Marken. Grüße
2:32 - What size Rhinowall bags are those? 3:48 - Does the width of the CC not mean your hand is "cramped" against the edge of the handle - hurts my palm. It does on my bike ;(.
Hello from across "the ditch" here in New Zealand. Appreciate an honest no bs review!! Very interested to see how good these things are going to be long term but can't expect to much of anything first gen I guess. Another Kiwi has posted a review/ride of these here and it seemed to do okay off-road. Thanks again for sharing good unbiased real world review-if any country is going to test a machine's capability your homeland is definitely going to!! Cheers mate ,have fun and ride safe 😎
Im really interested in this motorcycle as well and just like you i am about 188 cm. How´s the seating with that saddle because i think the standard seat is far to low for us. Did you get increased comfort as well?
@@Bob-huisbaas the lower seat didn't bother me but that taller one is definitely better . Comfort is maybe slightly better on the tall seat but both are very comfortable
Thanks for the video. From the manual it seem that the dash has the tires pressure & temp display option, but I don't know which TPMS need to be used on the valves.
Im just waiting for the big bois that reach 50k km or 100k now. I know i won't reach that much in 3years warranty but Atleeast it will give me a peace of mind that i would know the possible problems my first bigbike upgrade from 150cc scooter is lol.
no matter what i will never buy bike car smartphone computer or any thing valluable item from china. because i dont trust chinese manufacturing. they produce low quality products. i hv use many china made headphone and every time one side stops working.
Mi like desde España 🇪🇦, el control de crucero no lo encuentro en eBay, tiene enlace, yo llevo piñón de 16 y espero la centralita para poner una ecu de 52cv
If you keep both the cardo and your bike connected to your phone you won’t have that problem. When the music switches over to the bike just hit the pause button and then the play button on your cardo and it switches it back over. You will also be able to still use the buttons on the controls to change the songs. You also won’t have to disconnect and reconnect your cardo to your phone like you have been doing. I have the Cfmoto 450ss and that’s how I get around it
Delighted to see you're stiil pleases with it after 10K. I've 5 more months to wait for delivery into Ireland, so its a reassuring video. 40K valve clearance inspection surprises me. That sounds more like a 4 cylinder Japanese bike. If 40K is appropriate it's another impressive Engineering element to this first gen model. Thanks for the video, always enjoy watching them.
Having watched lots of reviews on this bike, I now know why they call it the “Unicorn Bike”. It’s because they don’t exist! Zero stock here in Perth, WA.
@@trinkabuszczuk6138 that sucks There's a few in Qld at the moment but I think most are waiting for the next shipment.. they're definitely worth the wait
Living the dream mate. Thanks for the real world, unsponsored review XD. Might swap my old Transalp to a 450MT soonish. Do they go a about the same powerwise?
I was all set to buy a new Transalp but thought I'd wait for the after market to catch up... Then I saw some videos of having to muck around with rider modes and then the air filter position and decided to give something else a go.. glad I did at this stage
@@Noastrenght I looked very closely at them but unfortunately the seat was a bit too small for 2 up which we enjoy so I kept looking.. great bikes otherwise 👍
