External actors do not dictate human desires (influence, yes, dictate, no). For AI to accommodate human needs, it requires interaction with humans; it can't be fully autonomous. Ergo, there will be jobs for telling AI and robots what to do. The good part is that markets will become more efficient in that creating new products and services will be done easier and faster. Testing those products or services with consumers will happen sooner than today. Scaling production of what works and ditching what doesn't work will also be done faster. Competition will be fierce, though, and everything will move at high speed.
Consciousness is not as complex as you might think. We aren’t as special as you might think. There are 20 quintrillion stars in the universe and possibly more…
I would rather watch these type of videos without all the video clips inserted that are un- related. They distract and make my eyes race. I would rather watch the interviewer, interviewee, and a few inserted related images. Old fashioned works, otherwise I will listen, not watch.
God, Don Lemon goes on & on about how only 5% of blacks are doctors. There was a study conducted at Princeton in 2021 that estimated that over 80% of blacks view hip-hop culture as more important to how they want to be perceived than their aspirations for an education. Think about that for a moment. Don Lemon never once stops to address the obvious: Very few black teenagers are trying to become doctors. They’d have to take school seriously in order to even have a fighting chance in med school
I agree with all the comments posted so far, including the ones about the damned music! My ears are shot from years of loud music etc. and despite hearing aids, clarity of speech is an issue for me. Music should be used almost as a subliminal noise on speech heavy, newsreel type of material. Rant over, 10/10 for the video. Regards all from the UK
I was reading an article in the WSJ about how the AI revolution is losing steam and would love to see a video to challenge this fact. I believe first adapters will always have to pay the higher prices and the use cases are limited at first.
3:16 ah shit u telling me onlyfams models will not die with all the AI girlfriends available & potentially 1000x better in the future? Damn there's just really no killing that job huh 😂
We will earn our money by having robots work for us and contract them out to companies. The more robots you have the more you can earn. That will drive the market of upgrades and new robots. Companies could avoid paying for their machinery or the needs to constantly upgrade. Like UBER and LYFT for robots
Human existence is temporal, a flash in the pan in the span of life on Earth. We humans are because we can be, and we will be until we can't. Like every form of life, we will survive as a species if we can find a way to exist without violating fundamental physics and economics. We are not immune to evolution. We are not immune to catastrophe. We are looking at the real possibility of a self-sustaining society in which humans struggle to survive as their place and value to society diminishes. It's already happening. Millions of people are of negative value to society because they can't complete with machines and computers. When machines and computers evolve to surpassing our ability to think, create, and lead, where will we humans find meaning?
'Launching multiple satellites/ISS in outer space means great traffic jam & pollutions above earth. Now humanity to raise/ build permanent base on Lunar surface by using AI operated advanced and faster spacecrafts , like UFO/UAP to reach there within couple of hours in future.
Farzad quickly pulled the focus of the "BIG" question of what will be important to "humanity" back to the "male" perspective completely ignoring the answer the guy with pink shirt brought up when Farzad himself said I would love to have this conversation with women. I find this ironic and typical in a STILL man's world that the ONE thing AI will NOT EVER be able to do like humans is making more humans. And this ONE thing is completely and only something women can do. Not to sound racist because I'm not, but middle eastern men have a long road to travel if they are truly going to evolve regarding the lack of true respect for women.
Interesting dialogue guys. Thank you. I leave two comments for you that may resonate. "Without adversity, we would not know the meaning or value of peace and contentment." "The price of freedom is eternal vigilance."
I think that it is a great mis-conception that in a world of great (affordable) abundance that all of society will be able to just sit around and consume such abundance. Some jobs will transition (to Rico's point of new unforeseen industries), but MOST jobs will be eliminated, therefore unemployment will rise to new levels. Regardless of how abundant things become, everything will not be FREE and therefore will likely push the "poor" to new lows as well. With lower costs of everything, wages will also follow suit to remain in balance with cost to produce. I feel like we are assuming we all remain at current income levels with only production of goods lowering with technology. Everything will simply recalibrate to new levels and we will still have levels of class and affordability, regardless of the availability of goods and services.
6:00 Copper is the 2nd best heatsink in the world, doesnt surprise me they used copper. The #1 heatsink is Polycrystalline Diamonds which are twice as effective as copper but a lot more expensive.
I think that the copper is used to transfer data. As in, copper cables, as opposed to glass fibre cables. At these speeds, copper wires really are starting to struggle and usually glass fibre is used, but that needs electricity of it's own to run I guess?
Nvidia, according to "experts", are doing what they said could not be done, and that is using a lot less energy to do the same work. This just goes to show how inefficient most circuits today are.
I wonder of his vision has been or os constantly updated with Elon? His vision seems so radically similar to the deep insights of Elon. What a pair! We certainly cannot say the same about Bezos and Elon, or Zuckerberg and Elon, nor Brin and Elon. These are visionnaires gone wrong but Elon and Jensen still fire on all cylinders.
Interesting questions, but mostly superficial answers. The key to finding real insights is to dig deeply into human motivations. What are the fundamental, underlying drivers of our actions? One view is that it all rests on our drive to continue our species. Nico already talked about the depth of that impulse in his own family, but it can be argued that this drive also relates to the urges to rise in the social hierarchy, and to dominate others as these conditions correlate with breeding success. Bottom line is that under this view, satisfying basic needs for all will not eliminate the causes of dissatisfaction and conflict.
@2:33 - looks like Moore's Law is dead, but not in the way many predicted. Progress in compute is beating Moore's Law hands down. Gordon Moore would have been very happy.
Elon knew what he was saying, when he referred to D.E.I. as D.I.E.! Because "D.E.I." is a LOWERING OF STANDARDS & it will cause people to DIE! When someone is chosen for a job or a position because of their Race, Sex, Beliefs, etc., over someone that is MORE QUALIFIED , then the standards are being lowered for that job or position. Elon is NEVER going to get Don to agree with him, because Don's beliefs are coming from the position of "RACE".
Jensen so loves his job and his company, just so knowledgeable and passionate, he's like a technology preacher who believes deeply in everything he is revealing, I just love listening to him!
Strong BUY. Still early innings. NVIDIA is the dominant leader in AI and the preferred technology partner globally. Even w new competition on the horizon, NVIDIA is far ahead of the competition. 85% market share. 76% margin. Unrivaled demand for new Blackwell chip. Demand far exceeds production for Blackwell through to 2025 and beyond. No competitor has anything close to Blackwell. And forward P/E is about 33 (cheap for a high growth stock). Buy this stock and wait. You will be rewarded.
Problem is that NVDA is addicted to the datacenter, their mobile offerings are terrible. Inference needs to happen at the edge (mobile) and training will not have the same amount of demand as time goes on. NVDA is a major bet on aggregation of resources (compute) but this is cyclical as we have seen dozens of major shifts in this industry. Remember when Citrix aggregated desktops with VDI and then it imploded because VDI has a problem with latency? AI Inference in the datacenter has the same problem with latency. AAPL and Samsung are the best buys for AI now that we are transitioning from training to inference. If you are in cross roads or need sincere advise on the best moves to take now its best you seek a pro who knows about the financial markets. Cheers and good luck!
When it comes to investment, diversification is key. That is why I have my interests set on key sectors based on performance and projected growth. They range from the EV sector, renewable energy, Tech and Health (AMD) alongside coins, and gold. I'm also working on an investment plan that includes AI looking into Nvidia, MSFT, Alphabet stocks among others with my Fin. Advisor, . It's been a year and half of steady growth.
I appreciate the implementation of ideas and strategies that result to unmeasurable progress. Being heavily liquid, I'd rather not reinvent the wheel, thus the search for a reputable advisor, mind sharing info of this person guiding you please?
Finding financial advisors like Marisa Breton Dollard who can assist you shape your portfolio would be a very creative option. There will be difficult times ahead, and prudent personal money management will be essential to navigating them.
