Here I am, missing a church meeting, because Mold Illness has slammed me hard the past few days; and I stumble across this video. Talk about the Holy Spirit guiding us; I so needed this tonight. Your situation is so relatable to my own. When I started out on this mold journey, I researched everything. I knew everything I would need to do and all that I would need to buy in order to recover, only to find that I could never seem to reach those solutions 100%; in my case, not even 50%. Instead, God has me in a season of waiting in the midst of imperfect circumstances, relying on His provision to sustain me each new day, and hoping for His next steps, whenever they may come. Thank you so much for sharing your story and encouragement. I'm truly blessed <3
What a valuable resource for preserving cherished memories! It's heartening to know that there are free services available at libraries to help digitize photos and videos affected by fire or mold damage.
I used a natural laxative. Then I began reading butter is essential to removing AND preventing mycotoxins. So I use 2 pats of organic butter on high fiber crackers. Had a little diarrhea but this beats dying. My mycotoxicosis ramped up and I would have died. I was getting vascilitis. I’m also spending thousands in hyperbaric oxygen chamber. Still cannot exercise. Wouldn’t it be nice if medicine had knowledge?
Thanks alot! I had been having and still am experiencing alot of sinus/respiratory issues. Recently noticed i was getting nasal congestion when I went to bed couldn't figure it out then I heard it could be a mold issue so I checked and what do ya know I had a very slow minor leak in the closet which is a shared wall with the bathroom. Fixed the leak but I did notice some mold growth. So I ordered a air purifier today and am going to attempt to tackle the removal of the mold this weekend 🤞
I started taking mine with applesauce. It was ok but the applesauce makes my acid reflux bad so I now mix mine in yogurt. You have to stir it continuously for about 2 mins to get rid of the lumps and create a smooth consistency. Then you just eat it fast lol. I can't drink mine in a water. But I am going to try to add it to a smoothy maybe that won't be soo bad. Cholestyramine taste horrible, the consistency is terrible and to me it has a fish smell which I can't stand. I hate it but it does work. I take it for Bile Acid Diarrhea. Cholestyramine can cause tooth discoration and tooth decay so never leave it in your mouth for long and always brush your teeth and rinse your mouth. Cholestyramine can also cause issues with B12 deficiencies so I am taking a B12 supplement as well. I wish they offered it as a pill, I hate the powder. But I dont think I could do 15 pills a day, that is crazy especially for people also take other medication and supplements. Wish there was another way.
Nicole, that is a great idea to place it in yogurt or applesauce. I agree, its a large sum to have to consume no matter what form someone chooses. Great info on the B12 as well. Thank you Nicole(-: I hope you've found relief and healing. Thank you for your reply.
Lisa, great question. By packing the cholestyramine in capsules it helps the substance go down your throat to swallow easier. The capsule itself then dissolves pretty quickly, releasing the medication to do its job.
Hi, My surgeon prescribed cholestiramien after minor bowl surgery , i find that it does make me constipated and so uncomfortable..the intake of my food is also very limited..during the time of this treatment could you have jungle oats ect and can you specify what foods work for you..🙏🙏
Hi Nurie, My apologies for the delay in response- I did not see this message till today. I hope your body is healing well from the surgery. The answer is "yes" I imagine jungle oats or any gluten free oats that are softened by cooking or soaking with water or dairy, would work. Oats are loaded with soluble fiber which allows more water to remain in your stool. This then makes your stool (poop) softer and larger, making it easier to pass. Online it suggests to let the oats soften in water or milk via cooking it, soaking it or place dried oats in yogurts or milk (like breakfast cereal). I currently can not consume oats, even though I have tried gluten free ones. This causes skin rashes on me. What has worked best for me with constipation has been the following: -green leafy veggies like romaine lettuce and Kale, -pecan nuts, (if you can tolerate other nuts go for it), -healthy oil- olive oil is placed on all my foods, -extra amounts of avocado- I can tolerate 1/2 an avocado without stomach rumbles, but when I consume 1-2 whole ones, it moves things along -loads of water -fruits such as blueberries, raspberries, blackberries Note- some folks are allergic to dairy and/or gluten...when either are consumed, it can cause constipation and difficulty with pooping. Make sure you are not allergic or have a sensitivity to the foods you consume while on the cholestyramine treatment. You want your body moving waste and toxins out regularly and daily. Hope this helps and I do so hope your treatment is complete and bowels working regularly now Nurie. Stay well!
Kathy, yes it does seem so...but for some of us, it is very difficult to get that chalky substance to go down no matter what liquid we try to help it go smoother down. Mine was compounded and very thick, making it take more glasses of water than I could handle in one sitting to get that substance down. By packing the cholestyramine powder in the capsules it took only seconds to consume it and created zero gagging reactions and no headaches from the ordeal. Using a short amount of time to pack it in capsules, paid off massively. I also found out since my own packing of it, that there are little tools that pack it for you making this faster, that can be purchased. Thank you for your comment Kathy. Did you have an easy time drinking this down? I would love to hear your experience.
Thank you for this. It is helping me. I’ve got one of the worst Colds in the nose Right now. Five days in boxes of tissues and a completely chapped set of nostrils. I can see from the clip that you two are pretty sore. Do you have any advice on what to take for a very very red and sore nosy? Also not to compete but I’m on five boxes. How many of you blown through L O L
B, I am sorry you've had to deal with five days already of a crazy cold and now 5 boxes of tissue! Oh my. For your sore nose, the one thing that comes to mind is tallow lotion placed on it or in it to help if it is chapped. I recall as a kid my mom using some vaseline, but I don't use that any longer. I choose safer ingredient products and pure at all possible. Tallow is made from rendered beef fat turned into a lotion. So that is one option, or coconut oil as well can be a soother if you do not have sensitivity to it. I hope today your cold is lifted and the soreness and redness heal. Thanks for reaching out B!
