Sup guys, this is where you get to see me talk about and do things with cars. Mostly building my own. I currently own a 1991 Mazda MX-5 Miata that I want to restore to perfect condition.
I got a 2008 DTS. A more modern but barely one of these. Smoothest running v8 i've ever seen. Plenty of power for the big boat and buttery smooth. I love the damn thing. I never thought I would be much of a large 4 door fan but I am in love. I am currently doing all the suspension and I have some other tasteful things I want to do. 2008 luxury 3, black cherry, tan leather, 96k miles. I got it for 5k.
Gotta 2012 Impala LTZ on the cheap- at 103k mi in Nov 22 Fast forward to now and my 2020 sits in the driveway. The 2000-2005 impala 3.8L engine is legendary
I’ve had a ‘76 Sedan Deville and a few mid 80s Eldorados, all very low miles. THOSE felt like driving on a cloud. Now I have this one (2003 Deville). These feel like you’re riding on rims compared to those old beauties. I was very disappointed, but it’s nice to finally have a Caddy with horsepower. Nobody’s cutting me off in THIS bish! 😎
I've had 6 cars in the last 3 years, all which were different in style, price and speed, for anyone interested I'll give you my opinion. The fastest car I had and my favorite was my 2015 dodge challenger rt/plus, I also had a 2010 Kia forte koup sx, 2019 Kia forte lxs, 2013 Lincoln mks, 2019 dodge challenger sxt, and now I currently drive a 2014 Chevy Impala limited lt. Let me explain why I went through the cars and why I am driving the Impala. First of all, I bought cheap cars at first because I want to be smart financially, so I started off with the Kia sx koup. After I paid it off I said screw it and bought more expensive cars, regretted my decision, went back to a cheaper car which was the Lincoln mks, after I spent so much money on those cars I said screw it again and bought the V8 challenger since it was my dream car, traded that in because I realized I was not being smart and also lived in a dumb area where owning the challenger was causing people to hawk it and come up to me all the time. I ended up staying with the Impala temporality until I can move into a place that has a garage, driveway or at least a better neighborhood. I also figured I needed to stop being dumb and owing debt and that I should get that challenger later when I can actually afford it. So here is my take on all those cars I had. All of those cars I had felt fast in their own way except the Kia lxs. The challenger rt is not even a comparison, it's just way more badass than the rest simply because of the sound alone. I liked every car I had but also has things I disliked. The Kia sx felt fast and had a premium sound system, the lxs was nicer, better gas, felt much slower and I didn't like the sound system that much. The challenger V6 felt awesome but I didn't like that I choose that over the V8 since the V8 was my dream car, so for me even though the V6 was fast enough and cool, it didn't feel right, felt pointless to be honest having a V6 Challenger other than for the looks of it. Then I had the Lincoln mks, that thing was pretty fast for how big the car was and the sound system was awesome. The thing I HATED about that car was the leather cracking on the seats pissed me off. The challenger V8 was obviously the best, no complains other than people will bother you over the car and it will eventually get on your nerves if you dont live in a nice neighborhood. I also didn't like the leather was also starting to crack. This car was also faster than almost any car on the road, the only normal cars people drove faster than it was maybe mustangs, Camaros or those Ford focus models that are fast. Most people where I live aren't in a supercar so the challenger would beat almost everything, not many people even tried racing it because I guess it looks intimidating. I am a person who likes Performance but I also wanted a car without any major debt or dislikes. This is where the Impala comes in. The Impala you can get with cloth seats which I liked since every leather seated car I had cracked or had lines through the seat and I couldn't stand it. The Impala is also 4 doors unlike the challenger. The Impala has a decent sound system, it's not the best but it's not crappy. So I am satisfied with it because at least it's not horrible. The car can be had relatively cheap under 10k or under 6-8k also depending on milage. A normal person can pay that debt off relatively fast if they was to have a loan on it. The 3.6l V6 has around 300hp and the car is fast enough. It doesn't feel slower than any of those other cars besides the challenger rt that I had. Assuming that nothing major is wrong with the car, it's a freaking nice deal, and if I could rewind time I would have chosen this as my first car. The reason is because it has everything, it has decent power (faster than most cars on the road), it has 4 doors, you can get non leather seats so it doesn't crack, sound system is alright, the car is affordable and you can get out of debt quicker if you have to go down the loan route, insurance is cheaper as well, and parts are cheaper. It has everything and if I would have chosen this as my first car I would have saved at least 15,000 to 20,000 dollars and that's not a joke. I lost money by trading each of my cars in, and I also was paying on each car. If I would have had this car from the start and kept it for 3 years I would already have that challenger rt with the money I saved it at least most of it paid off. I also realized upgrading my car can only make me so happy, and it's not a good feeling knowing you owe a bunch of money on a car that can easily be scratched or ruined. I learned to be grateful to have a ride and just to get something I can afford that is reasonable. So my advice is. If you are a person who is thinking about getting a car, trading in one, or getting your first. The Impala would make a good first car. The only thing I heard you need to watch out for is making sure the oil was changed and maintenance is up to date on the vehicle, I heard the ones with the timing chain had issues whenever people neglected the oil changed. Key word, NEGLECTED. If you get an Impala realize it's not a Honda or Toyota and that you need to get one that has a good maintenance record. I like cars that have some performance, the Impala is definitely not as fast as that rt I had, but it's fast enough for me to have fun in, and if you wanted to, you could always buy a cold air intake with a tune up. Wither you want performance or just a car, I think the Impala has a balance of everything a person could want. Now if you make more money or can afford it, yeah buy your dream car. With the challenger I got many compliments and it felt awesome, but I also was paranoid everytime it sat in the parking lot when I heard people around it or walking by it, especially when I owed a decent amount on it. I realized it's DUMB to have a nice car in a bad area. If you're going to get a nicer car, make sure you either live in a good area or have a driveway/garage to protect it. I was tired of the debt and paranoia so now I'm driving a 2014 impala limited. I didn't give up on my dream car, I just realized I can get it later and don't need to have it right now. This is just my advice/opinion as someone who went through cars thinking it would make me feel better. I don't regret driving this Impala and I don't miss my challenger that much, I think the reason I don't miss it is because I owed a bunch of money on it, it made me paranoid and I couldn't protect it. The main thing I notice with this Impala is that there is a little delay on the low end when I press the gas, but then you feel the power when you give it some more and it starts going. I don't have any regrets in terms of power either, I'm still faster than I'd say 70% or more of the cars on the road, most cars are 4cyl anyway or slower V6. I'm not saying to get one, just giving you my input since I had other cars to compare it to.
That interior is mint!! You sir have a gem on your hands. I’d love an eg8 for a daily but they are all rusted in my area. I know this is an old video but hopefully you still got it
Great review. Considering buying one myself. I just picked up an 05 Suburban Z71 4x4 dirt cheap and may pick one of these up for dirt cheap as well. I love my BMW for luxury and speed, but don’t want to put a lot of miles on it and my P71 Crown vic is down at the moment, so that’s where this car will come in. New subscriber.
I just got an 07 with the 3.5 and I was absolutely shocked with how it handles and the power it has. Also has 250k on the clock and nearly no rust in Northern Michigan. I can't wait for spring to come back around and start fixing the minor paint defects and such and making it my own. Idk what the hp difference is between this 3.6 vvt and my 3.5, now I want to go look it up. Great review!
Those are good cars I’m actually thinking about buying one myself and the reason why they’re fast is because they’re used as police cars so they’re used as police cars they’re pretty damn good and reliable plus fast👌🔥💯
I have a red 2013 Impala LT great car low maintaince 184,000 miles. going for over 500,000 miles. Only real problems are the wheel bearing hub assembly, and fix my entire air conditioning unit. value of car has gone up. I wll be upgrading this car. Also have a silver 2008 silverado pickup with 96,000 miles this also runs great planning on upgrading this as well and taking it to over 1,000,00 miles if possible. no body rust anywhere. value has gone up on this truck as well.
Ss only got 4 speed with 2 more horse and 30 fpotourqe more. Rather have the all aluminum block and heads from the V6 over the 8. 6 is much lighter you got a 6 speed with the 6 too
My Impala is 233,340 and run very smoothly only oil change , I could not believe how smooth this car is when I replace the engine and transmission mounts !!!!
Nice to see a solid Civic being kept alive. I have been daily driving a 1992 Honda Civic DX sedan for the last 9 years. Mine isn't nearly this nice looking, but it's mechanically pretty solid now, and I have a high compression B18A1 ready to drop in as soon as I find a good transmission. Should also add my car has nearly 300,000 miles on it, and was abused before I saved it.
Maaannnnn!! Lol you're exactly right. They're fast. Light weight. Roomy. My wife bought a 08 years ago. I felt in love with it. Now I have an 06. Had it 3 weeks. Love it love it love it. The steering tracks really well like it riding on rails. Suspension not too hard. Not too soft. It's just right. Im gonna buy another ...one day
I got one for sale 3,000 , 145,000 miles , V8 of course , no problems other than ac compressor . Which I have with me just didn’t install. New battery , tune up and oil change . & all 4 tires all around are new . No exterior or interior damage whatsoever
