Dedicated to the memory of Tim Finger, who founded this channel in tribute to Championship Wrestling From Florida -- the greatest professional wrestling territory of all time.
Both of these Men played it perfectly. They didn't talk much and went right to battle. Wrestling was much more popular and better for a reason in the 80's.
Went to Verne Ganges school for wrestlers with Ken Patera, Bob bbuggers, Rick Flair and a few others. Patera said he was about q85 pounds when he started at the school but with some assistance reached about 255-250kbs Rick Flair was about 280 muscle through assistance and wanted to be 300 as he thought massive ess was the key to being great. Was told to reduce and refine skills so dropped to about 245 and the rest is history
This was a real earthquake event in the world of wrestling. Dory Funk Jr. had been a great champion. But, when Jack Brisco came on the scene, Dory was slowly converted into a blackhat (a role that never really suited him) and Jack was slowly built up as the new kid on the scene. Good days.
This was a great match. Wrestling will never be this good again. Thanks, Vince McMahon, for ruining, and forever changing, the world of professional wrestling.
This was the last good year of CWF. When Dusty left it went downhill. His fued with Kevin Sullivan in the early 80's was legendary. I used to go to the Auditorium in WPB on Monday nights. Caught a few matches with my cousins in Lakeland too.
Is nobody going to acknowledge the badass bass solo at the end?! That sounds like Flea, but I could be wrong. Either way. That bass solo is real; and worthy of recognition, too!
Dirty Dutch was great! I remember when I was a kid when Dutch talked thru the mic he had your attention. Just like the great Terry Funk. Dutch was underrated definetly one of the guys who sold their character!
Boy do I miss these days off wreastling .The wreastling was so much better in this Era and it was a lot harder the wrestlers took a lot more punishment back than. That's what made it so good to me 😢
Terry Funk... "I don't recall that at all"😂😂😂! This proved what I believed growing up as a kid in the 70's pre cable in then WWWF territory with only the "Apter mags" to keep up with the NWA. The Funk Brisco rivalry was one of the best in wrestling history!
