McKenzie River Trust is a nonprofit land trust formed in 1989 to protect critical habitats and scenic lands in the McKenzie Basin. Our service area includes the watersheds of the Long Tom, Upper Willamette, Coast and Middle Forks of the Willamette, Umpqua, Siuslaw, and coastal streams and lakes from Reedsport to Lincoln City. Throughout our history, we have partnered with caring landowners, our members, foundations, and partner organizations to protect, forever, land and water in western Oregon.
So, they were the one who started to destroy forests and jungles in the name of progress and modernisation. Oh the western hipocrisy of America and Europe. And now you accusing developing Asian countries Like Malaysia and Indonesia for cutting their forest for planting Palm Oil trees.
Beautiful River!! When my Lady and I finallty Santa Cruz in our Converted '50 Chevy School Bus we landed in Eugene then eventually at Cougar Reservoir near the Hotsprings. We picked an isolated spot to park the bus a couple miles from the Springs. It was beautiful area. We would run along the McKenzie River on our trips into Eugene for supplies. Beautiful area,, Beautiful River!!
This made both husband and I tear up. We are remotely viewing (online) McKenzie River properties for sale, while living in Utah. My pa's family were in Deschutes County about the time these photos were captured. We hope to become your neighbors and learn more about supporting the Trust. Thanks for a beautiful presentation!

I lived in Eugene for 27 years, had never seen such a wonderful logging history. One thing I remember is the beauty of the Mckenzie the water was always so clear and pretty.
Kesey believed in evolution LOL, there is no God. Poor guy. The beauty of Mandelbrot set fractals prove an intelligent mind. There is no other answer. Bulletproof. Laws of math and numbers are conceptual. They come from a mind. Yet, the laws of math have been around long before humans, from a secular viewpoint. The orbits of planets, for example. There is no such thing as a course in evolutionary mathematics. 2 + 2 = 4 was the same "millions of years" ago just as today, and is a concept of the Mind. Who's mind, since humans weren't around?
I have the good fortune of living close to the Mckenzie River. The fishing is still amazing. Prince Helfrich did so much more we may never know about. I guided that beautiful river for several years. Loved every day; not a bad office! Great video, included those who started it all. Thanks.
If they are still standing I've seen them. You can't ask for a more beautiful drive. Go to Google maps and type in covered bridges and they all pop up.
@@ralphaverill2001 I worked trees in the redwoods for 7 years, luckily I was in my early 20's, and in the best shape of my life. The very hardest job I've ever had.
