I do this because both my wife and I are 100% disabled, and we have both of our adult sons still living here at home. Inflation has really hurt us. Also, it is a way to show the appreciation for all the time spent making the content for you to enjoy. I am tired of working 12-14 hour days on this channel and being further behind when I go to bed than I was when I woke up that morning. They simply had way too much fun producing this song and video presentation. Their entertainment value is top dollar with everything they do. Their customer base receives the best from them every time. Very creative juices and exceptional produced music that keeps our hearts thumping along with smiles and feel good feelings.... Home Free's interpretation for their videos for the vast array of genre they perform is sensational and very entertaining. They have videos that are serious and sincere to funny and hilarious and often catch us the audience discerning that a great amount of thought went into producing to enhance the message in the delivery. They bring an emotional aspect that is fresh and thought provoking each time. They are very intentional and deliver with excellence. They simply don't put out junk, they bring it with a very high end and are very deliberate with their message of their productions.❣
Home Free put this song out in response to the the civil unrest and racial riots of 2020 and 2021, that started after the murder of George Floyd by police. I liked Tim‘s message at the end. If we could all just be kind to each other and treat each other with respect what a better world it would be.

Jeffrey East used to open for Home Free and even went to Europe with them on tour once. They know each other well and Jeffrey is also a great songwriter and has had a hand in collaborative writing some of Home Free's originals. He is also in the song/video called "People" with Home Free and he wrote it and Home Free gave him the floor to sing most of it. I've seen him sing at 2 of their concerts, he is really good, and has a calm soothing voice.
As a Minnesota kid and contemporary of these guys, "Dixie" was always just a geographic name. We didn't typically have any racial/historical reference attached. I think people have a way of reading into songs what they want it to be rather than what was intended. Why couldn't it just be someone leaving their home in the south?? Moving away from a hometown is a big deal for small town kids.

Austin does a nice job of the older classic songs. His voice is well suited to older styles & he seems able to convey the emotion & feeling in them. He does a beautiful tribute to the great Etta James who made this song famous.
The gentleman you pointed out from the Oak Ridge Boys is Mr. Joe Bonsall. We lost Joe this July. We were very blessed to have been given the sound of his beautiful voice.
Jeffrey East was the opening act for the 1st HomeFree concert, which I was privileged to see . He is such a talented young man who also contributes to a lot of HomeFrees' originals and writes some wonderful songs of his own. Austins vocals were magnificent on this song and brought out the gospel singer in him. He used to tour with his dad around the south singing. Unfortunately, Joe Bonsall of the ORB just recently passed away, and I do believe he had a great love and respect for Austins talent. Just my opinion, though . 🥰❤️

Home Free does a fabulous job of this Keith Urban song. It is done in the Motown doo-wop style. Reminds me of the Temptations with all the synchronized moves. And you can hear Tim's bass rumbling in the background. Love these guys. They are so talented.
Beautiful song! I had never heard it before. Nice to be introduced to 2 Australian singers Travis Collins & Amy Sheppard. Home Free does a great collaboration as always. I felt like everyone added something special to this song including Adam's fabulous vocal percussion. And love seeing the beautiful Australian countryside & animals.
Those were actually Austin's blue shoes, not Rob's. There are many that miss Austin too! Takes a while to get used to a new person no matter how good they are. Glad this finally got unblocked!
I think you've found the band of your dreams: The Bass Gang! Oddly, Tim doesn't sing much bass in this song and he's terrific in it. Peter Barber of the Bass Gang (grey sweater) is a reactor and when he played this he said he'd never seen the completed version. He was sooo excited it was adorable! Juxtaposing footage from the flood with the song was so powerful. The song, singing, harmonies & beatboxing were terrific. And even more so was that all the profits went to relief efforts. I love their public spirit. Tim, Austin & friends do fund raising for at risk veterans (excerpts are available on Amberly's "The Beauty & the Bass" channel as well as y/t).
