A) I used to use classic, but once I discovered Savage Worlds (and Deadlands: Reloaded), and the ease of the system, I never had any desire to go back. Now, in retrospect, I find the classic system cumbersome. B) Reloaded is currently supported and I love the new material being released for it. I know some folks still enjoy the heck out of DL: Classic and more power to them, its just not a system I enjoy any more.
Very cool. Love the level of detail with the props, and minis. I GM a Savage Worlds Sundered Skies game as a play-by-post over at thecrunchyfluff.blogspot.com if you want to check it out!
Nice video and soundtrack! I am very excited to start GMing Deadlands Reloaded in a couple of weeks when i finish up my current D&D campaign - starting with coffin rock and some of my own content. Ghoultown rocks, btw! nice shirt
Very cool video. I'm a little jealous because an Irish brogue is one of the few accents I can't do. :( What company made the minis you guys were playing with? I really like that T-Rex!
I got all three for around £40 (about $62 at the current exchange rate) and you could probably get them cheaper if you go for PDF. Considering most other systems are about £20-30 per book I thought this was pretty good value. The players handbook and marshal's handbook are both available in explorers edition now.
Well, I sure as hell can't afford buying the Savag Worlds Core Book, Deadlands Reloaded Playuer's Guide AND the Marshalls handbook. So I gotta choose: Deadlands classic or Deadlands d20. I have had the enormous luck to find a first edition book, for a fair price, and that coupled with the links you show here can turn me into the proud owner of a Deadlands set! :D
@Ogma01 When will we see more vids? If you write me on how to do it I will make one. We play Deadlands every other Sunday @PEGShane Yep, We thank you ,alright, Mr. Hensley! Deadlands from the Original Award winning print has been my favorite rpg, and reading.
@cptmachine I didn't do any taping this year (the con was this past weekend), but the auction went about 8 or 9 hours versus 12. Game-wise, I played a lot of great stuff, ran a game on Sunday and just had an amazing time with good friends.
Thank ye! A few years back, the convention had some guys shooting videos that were then posted on the main site (as "Highlights" videos). The last video posted was from 2003 (ironically, my FIRST KublaCon) and knowing how influential those original videos were in helping me decide whether or not I was going to fly up from Los Angeles, I thought someone should step in and do something similar.
Those screen inserts were originally available from Pinnacle a while back, but it appears that they have vanished from their site! Perhaps RPGNow has them or something like that...?
Well, the point of this video was just to be fun and flashy. A lot of the audio is buried because much of the footage is out of order or even cut-off in mid-sentence. At some point, I do promise more game-play videos with much clearer video.
Very nicely done video and very cool game table. I'm envious and wish I could make my next Deadlands campaign half as atmospheric as yours. Thank you for the links to all of your resources as well. I'm certain I can put some of those to use, even if I am on a tight budget!
