I am not a Doctor but also have 3 stents. I run 5k three times a week plus do light weights for about 15mins also three times a week. You definitely should exercise.
What I would recommend to everyone with ASCVD is to: Eat mostly fruits and veggies with some optional fish (for niacin and omega 3s) Supplement with niacin (improves HDL and can help some with high Lp(a), vitamin D3 and vitamin K2 as well as CoQ10 (especially if you’re taking statin) Exercise - exercise has shown improvement in your collateral coronary arterial development, so even if there are future occlusions you’ll have some circulation to cover and deliver oxygen to your heart… One study out of Switzerland showed that training around 7 hours per week (daily sessions are broken down to 3x20 min or 2x30 min sessions) along with healthy diet led to significant improvement (over 30% improvement) in coronary collateralization… So, in sum: Eat right Supplement right Exercise up to 1 hr per day👍 Finally, if you have ASCVD it’s good to consider statin therapy as it not only reduces your LDL, but potentially Apo B, is anti -inflammatory and has been shown to regress the size of plaque by as much as 5% (and 1% decrease in plaque = 20-25% risk reduction of MACE…

Old statin studies were paid by pharma. New studies show statins do very little. Diet does more. Reducing stress does more. I reduced my blockage. Weight loss and good sleep help more.
There's been a lot of focus on the so-called bad cholesterol, LDL, but very little discussion on HDL, the good cholesterol that removes the bad cholesterol from the arteries and carries it back to the liver for disposal. Studies show that people with high HDL have way less coronary disease than people with low HDL. Exercise raises HDL. However, medicine hasn't found a safe pill that raises HDL without increasing coronary risk. The Grim Reaper is still smarter than our smartest doctors.

If you take 2000 mg of fish oil for a few days and you experience and espisode of A Fib and you get off the fish oil quickly, is it possible that the fish oil has now somehow changed the electrical system in the heart? Or would it take longer than for the fish oil to cause a permanent problem.
What a bunch of baloney. Arterial plaque can be dissolved with the use of 100% natural enzymes ie nattokanise and Vitamin K2-MK7.
