Mass sucks! I joined the army at 18 to get out of that place. Moved to Florida which was a. Little better but finally made ot out west to Colorado. The west is the best. Im 60 now and still get deppressed every time o think of where i grew up. Feel like i got born into wrong family in wrong place. Arizona California Colorado!!!! Those states would of been epic to spend early years on. Especially back then. Worcester is for the birds not sure wtf my mom was thinking 😢
Great list. Another thing to be aware of for folks moving to Boston is that the housing stock is generally older, featuring tight staircases and small elevators. This presents a problem when trying to move oversized furniture. So, if you have a queen box spring or 9 foot long couch, this is something to consider.
I've just spent summer in Southern Oklahoma, town called Ardmore,Aviation job brought me here.Leaving soon for a job up in Hartford,CT working at Bombardier,Bradley Airport.I WILL TAKE NEW ENGLAND WINTERS ALL DAY LONG OVER THIS OKLAHOMA/TEXAS HEAT ANYDAY,I hate it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Especially all these locusts hitting your window and getting into your home.I was born and raised in Leominster so I am familiar with long winters. They can be hard somedays,BUT I'LL TAKE IT.Especially with all the Holidays(Christmas and New Year's)and football and hockey on.Looking forward to seeing New England Fall foliage again after traveling the rest of the country most of my professional career. We have it great in New England, trust me.Anyway, dear lady, love your channel,GOD BLESS YOU IN JESUS CHRIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I AM A BOSTONIAN AND I LOVE MY STATE, BUT, THE COMPLAINTS ARE RIGHT. I LIVE IN DORCHESTER.AND THE RIDE HOME FROM WORK IS AN OBSTACLE COURSE. OUR STATE HAS BECOME TOTALLY RIDDLED WITH LIBERALISM THAT IT DOES NOT MAKE ANY SENSE TO ME ANYMORE. ALL OF THE CONSTRUCTION OH, !!! THE PARKING ISSUES AND WE HAVE VERY NARROW STREETS HERE. IF THEY TRY TO PUT ANYMORE BIKE LANES HERE, THERE WON’T BE ANY ROOM FOR CARS. WE ARE NOT OREGON, STOP THIS. I GET THAT OTHER STATES HAVE WORSE WEATHER CONDITIONS, BUT, WE ARE MASSHOLES, THIS IS WHAT WE DO…😃
I hear hate about the winter and yes it touch but as a kid i always did enjoy it though. U can have a ton of fun and yes i did have too shovel and salt lol😂
out of everything you listed here masshole drivers are the worst part.. and then the ones that aren't massholes are reading books while driving and mentally in another world
Lived in Central Mass and Cape Cod. Moved to Georgia and the culture shock was and is mind blowing. I miss Massachusetts a lot, but being retired, it's out of the question. Our son still lives there and he says the cost of living is out of sight. Your video told it like it is!
I was born and raised in Massachusetts. Like any state, it has its ups and downs. It has great schools and a low crime rate, but it’s also one of the most expensive states.
Massachusetts sucks take it for somebody who lives here too like me you have to deal with mass holes on a daily basis I had avoid much of them to get not get into accidents I drive for a living and when you go to say hi to somebody here better hope they're having a good day cuz I'll tell you to screw off in their own way or they're just ignore you to give you that look
I loved living in Massacusetts and was there for 18 years. No tax on clothes, which is a huge boon. They are particular about catalytic converters on cars. This person is talking about Boston and eastern Mass. Personally, I feel that Boston drivers are insane. They make lanes where there are none. Actually, in Western Mass. in the Pioneer Valley there is a bus company that serves the three counties: Franklin, Hampshire, and Hamden. Berkshire County also has buses, but only along Route 7 from North Adams to maybe Great Barrington. Great Barrington has wonderful shops. In fact, because of the lack of taxes on clothes, there are gobs of "outlet" stores and shopping centers in Berkshire County and elsewhere. I lived on the edge of a woods and saw many wild turkeys, deer, black bears, bobcats, and the occasional coyote right in back of my house. Snow in the Berkshires starts in November and doesn't stop until around April. I've had snow in my yard in May. Summer in the Berkshires is roughly six weeks. She's right about "northern hospitality." People are reserved, not hostile. Only in the summer, when the New Yorkers arrrive, is there a problem with theft. Otherwise many towns are occupied by fairly honest people. But beware if you don't know what you're doing when buying a house or a car. There you could well be conned by the "locals." Sometimes they will give advice when asked that is off the wall, just because they are trying to be helpful when in reality they have no more of an idea than you do. Other times they are out to cheat you. Up to you to figure out what the truth is.
Yes, western mass and eastern are like two different worlds! I think western mass is much nicer but a lot of people are only interested in the Boston area :(
Another con falling under overlegislation. If you are a gun owner Dont even THINK about moving to MA it is WORSE than california for gun owners. AWB that includes "compliant" versions of guns and bans them as "copycats" Pistol roster reducing handgun options by 75% cant get ammo shipped by most sellers no where to shoot on public land all outdoor ranges are club owned you need to know a club member to get into a club. most clubs have fuddy range rules over-regulated hunting (no rifle season not even in western MA) suppressors outright illegal even with a tax stamp mandatory storage laws good luck open carrying without getting the cops called until recently most places restricted concealed carry licenses to hunting only until supreme court ruling changed that. red flag laws that allow anyone to get you swat teamed and lose your guns without due process. no sunday hunting. 10 round mag limit. (including most 22s) and they keep pushing to force insurance and limit the number of gubs you are allowed to buy or own. And they have pushed to ban ALL semi autos. I cannot wait to leave this god forsaken state.
Great Video! So let me play devils advocate to your argument. Firstly taxes only seem high because of the way they are executed, as you said the actual rate is in the middle of the road compared to other states. Secondly, Cars are evil. It really is insane to get in a metal box of glass and zoom past other metal boxes where just a flick of the wrist and there is a head on collision and family members die and they cause global warming and war for oil. They should be taxed more in a just world. Solution, drive less. Try to work from home or live close to work. Vacation less. Just stop consuming and be boring! The health care and education you and you community share are worth it. The roads need repair ok boohoo. Every state has issues if that is your biggest problem count your blessings. Cost of living high? Eat less food, fasting is very beneficial! Stop celebrating Christmas and birthdays. Live in a very small house with a big work shed and repair your clothes, grow your own and consume less. People are cold, huh! Fake friendliness is worse. At least, you don’t have to put on a front.
they put plenty of money into roads, it's just that mass government embezzles it to pay for welfare. Welfare pays around $70,000 a year for a mom and 2 kids. That is why the roads are bad,.
Way too many people on welfare that are driving the cost of lviing in MA. The average illegal alien family in MA is making 60,000 a year tax free on welfare.
Love the viddie. All FACT no fluff. I am a NEnglander by birth only and cannot wait to gtfo out of the NE for good. Arrogance, corruption and entitlement runs like water thru a tap(you think NY'ers are bad come to the land of the Masshole). Taxes are another issue. I can now appreciate why the south loathed New England just come live here!! People refuse to be called out for their rude, entitled and sh*t attitudes. FY MA & NE!
It's actually a nice place if you're on government assistance. People milking the system getting free stuff. It's basically socialism. Thanks for the high taxes so I don't have to work😊
Jesus christ it got worse as the video went on, that place is a joke lol sure went down hill from the founding of our nation and rebeling against tyranny.
@@massachusettsunboxed if I pay that much in taxes and see a single pot hole there's gonna be some people getting questioned that's for sure, so much wasted money earned by hard working Americans and spent by lazy fat cats
Man, I love Boston sports teams and will visit some, but no way I'd ever live there, I'll stick to a more free state with less taxes and safer communities.
