My dad had one these back in 1966 automatic in a dark green colour. The fuel filler was behind the number plate which seemed a bit James Bond'ish at the time 😂
To be honest most of them needed months of work to get them raceable. #644 A50 came from me and had complete floors, chassis and bulkhead welded up just to be made safe enough. I know a few of the triumphs were indeed donor cars for other projects. Search Facebook etc for before raced pics and your see some of the state most were in.
the best for me was you taking pictures of old cars vans ,what a lovely sight to see even the teams there must of been over thirty cars ands two vans mind you Ive never seen that many cars at a meeting before but it looked fun .?.
