Question A guy I work with insists that using the engine brake tremendously increases engine coolant temperature and pressures. I can’t see how that is possible. Anyone out there have the same point of view? Or any idea if that’s possible?
In return of using the Jake brake when you don't need to, is exhaust manifold gaskets start to leak , liners start to sink leading to blowing head gasket, and so on so only use Jake brake when go down a mountain and you will get a better longevity of the motor. WHAT I AM BASICALLY SAYING IS YOU ARE ADDING PREMATURE WEAR ON INTERNAL PARTS OF THE MOTOR , ETC.
I was wondering if there is any possible way I could possibly get some advice on a cm870 that is loosing prime but takes about two days for it to happen and a cm871 that only rough idles after it reaches operating temp ?
