Loved the film and the beautiful bird❤ I was wondering what brand of brushes do you use ?, I’m looking for new brushes for watercolor, the set I have now does not hold the water , I’m trying to avoid animal hair brushes , I’m an animal painter so I try not to use real hair.
@@Artstudiovaneijk Thank you. I use Silver Black Velvet brushes, but they are a blend of squirrel hair and man made fibres. Da Vinci, Raphael, Princeton, and Rosemary & Co all produce synthetic squirrel type brushes which are very good.
Thank you for taking the time going through both watercolors, it was very helpful! I've watched some with less time and they weren't near as helpful as yours. I usually don't watch long ones but this was well worth it and I'll continue to cone back to it for a guided reference 😊
Thank you for your kind comments. My videos are long because they are real time Zoom classes that I teach and I post them so that my students can revisit the lessons and others can benefit from them too. I’ll be teaching another Northern Lights one this fall and posting every week throughout October and November.
Thank you so much for your help, it really helped me with the mountains, the best tutorial of the mountain I have seen, hope to see some more of your work here
Thank you for this tutorial! I just have not felt confident using so much water, and layering colors. Typical Newbie! You clearly go step by step to get the definition and values.
Do you have an outline of the flower that we could print off to put behind a light box? Because I love this but I don't think I could freehand that flower on my own
Love it ❤ the cats look fluffy, very nice technique 👌 what i always find difficult with watercolor it goes everywhere, I use it most of the time to make studies, but I’m loving what your doing ❤️✨
I always use the same tape, because the price of a roll professional tape, 🤦🏼♀️ here in Europe over the 15 euro ! And then people find it strange that artwork is expensive, loved the video ❤️ and your aquarel technique 👌✨
Yes, I go through so much tape when teaching, and I buy it for my students, so dollar store it is and most of the time it works just great. Thank you for your kind compliments.
I loved this chubby sheep so much I painted it and it's hanging on my kitchen wall. The salt effect turned out really well. Thanks for a great tutorial.
This video is much longer than I usually have the patience to watch, but it's definitely been a good investment of my time. Thank you for your attention to detail. It's been a valuable learning experience for me.
Thank you. I know it’s long, but I record it for my Zoom students who pay for full length lessons and then I upload it to RU-vid so they can watch again if they want. Thank goodness for the fast forward function.
Enjoyed your video very much❤️ you have a natural way of expressing, love it, your own style , and even I ‘m learning after 40 years being an Artist 😊 thank u , and greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱🥂
Two different ways. Most often I tear it against a metal ruler, but for cards I use my Tim Holtz deckle cutter made by Tonic. If you watch my video “Update More Snowy Sheep” I demonstrate both methods.
The one that I’m using in the video is just a cheap plastic one, but it’s my favourite of all my many palettes. I keep two on my work desk, one for warm colours and the other for cool colours. I’m in Canada so the link will be from Amazon.ca but I’m sure they are available all over the world.
