I took my Sony FDR-AXP35 Camcorder to be serviced for Error Code e61:30. The screen read that and I showed it to the technician. Within a week they emailed me confirming that exact code error and I gave them the go ahead with the repairs for THB 1132 (US$34). I called them yesterday after waiting two weeks on a job that they said would take less than a week. Now they are saying they found a new error code e61:10 and that the cost is THB 9585 (US$288). There is no way the camera computer would have read e61:30 and now they say is reading e61:10. Can anyone tell me if this is a clear case of malpractice? I will contact the Consumer Protection Board in Bangkok, but I need some technical support before I do that.
