This run is abslutely insane! Just by watching I've learned a lot of stuff but it will take a lot of practise for me to pull off what you did. I've been playing the game on and off for a week or so now but man you inspire me to improve. the Doom/Chaos Spear strat is insane
PERSONALLY I USE STANDARD BECAUSE I THINK THATS HOW THE DEVELOPERS INTENDED THE GAME TO BE PLAYED AND I THINK IT WORKS WELL. BUT I KNOW A FEW PEOPLE PLAY ON LEGACY ! AT THE END OF THE DAY ITS JUST PREFERENCE
0:16 there’s a decent skip you can do here by timing the boost on the doom tentacle and jumping off into the right grapple ball, which leads you to a spring which skips even more of the terrain
Nice run! I just uploaded my 2:17 and I'm really surprised about the differences between our runs! Your pathing at 0:40 is definitely faster than mine and I had no idea about the spring at 1:15.
Honestly think both acts of Kingdom Valley are the best levels in the game (I know 2D in boost games is controversial but the 2D stages in this game are all really good and almost as good as the 3D ones).
IVE NEVER LIKED THE 2D SECTIONS IN BOOST GAMES BUT I THINK SHADOW GENS IS THE FIRST GAME I CAN SAY I ENJOY THEM! THE WAY THE GAME USES THE CAMERA AND THE DOOM POWERS MAKES IT SUPER SATISFYING AND WAY MORE ENJOYABLE THAN ANOTHER OTHER SONIC GAME IMO ! SEGA DID A GOOD JOB WITH THE 2D PORTIONS OF THIS GAME !
ONCE YOU UNLOCK THE WINGS U CAN ONLY USE THEM IF U SELECT THEM BEFORE U START A STAGE. BUT U CAN STILL USE ALL THE OTHER DOOM POWERS EVEN WITH OR WITHOUT THE WINGS
Heard this level was pretty divisive. Is it really 50/50 depending on who's asking or is just Skill Issue Island Act 1? Edit: Level is fun as hell, doom Morph has a weird learning curve but it's fine after that (music is mid tho imo)
0:39 The bottom route after the 2nd zipline has a free Chaos Control charge 1:58 That 3rd -Middle- Left(?) Platform, I've managed to Boost off it during Chaos Control and home-in on the zipline, not waiting around for it to finish **But it's risky** 2:23 Boost into the platform in front of you, use Chaos Control, and then attack the enemy (It will automatically send you to those orange spheres) I hope it helps anyone... Now excuse me, Doom Zone Mephiles will be getting Christmas early... **Cause I'm about to put Cross in "Crossing you with style", all 36 S-Ranks hitless for all Sonic '06 sins against Blaze The Cat, and years total since Sonic Rush & Sonic Rush Adventure where Blaze was playable in Boost Formula**
Knowing how MONKE game is getting robbed of GOTY because corpo journalists are running the show, I am not expecting much. But it can be GOTY in our hearts
It was definitely added to have an extra level but the lore reason is at this point time is so distorted that shadow is just ending up at random points in the future.
@@GemsofEarth We might see similar times in other stages in the future. We'll just have to see when more people can play it, and given enough time the results will be made clear.
Can't wait to get my hands on the game... It seems all the level designs are super good with so many potential paths. I heard the Frontiers levels are the worst levels... So i can't imagine how amazing the best ones are.

@@shadhearts btw there is a trick you could've done at 1:43 for the extra shortcut boost also Picked the middle route so I won't have to wait on the platforms
