These guys certainly didn’t do River Phoenix any favors. They werent a friend to him at all. You would think after losing Hillel they would’ve been more responsible around their “friends”… River didn’t touch H until he was on that film set with Flea and his hangers on. so you have a member of the red hot chili peppers there the day River started using… and then you have another member there on the day he died. Yea, I think when you're all just in it it's hard to make proper decisions. When something that was normal for you at that age is very much not at all, but then you add drugs and alcohol, well. We live in a messed up world trying to figure it out, many with a strange and traumatic foundation.

It’s heartbreaking that his parents over worked him since he was a young child . Spent all his money on what they wanted. They didn’t even pay the taxes . Poor Brittany. After her death, the only people who represented her and defend her to the press were her mother and husband. I'm sure they were srill in grief but their communication abilities didn't help defend tabloid allegations regarding Brittany. I never believed she used and there was no evidence she did. Her death is mysterious.
