Thank you, thank you I really really appreciate that. I actually do have another video coming out soon. Make sure you like share and subscribe so you don’t miss it.🦾💪🏿🦾💪🏿
@@legionelitemotorsports2096 what’s the break down you have of the build like pistons and cams and tranny like all I want to build it for turbo soon! I have a 4g92 DOHC with a 4g93 block !
These bad boys are technically 10.0:1 compression ratio rated for corn after 15 psi the higher the compression the less boost you can run on pump gas 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
I think starquestclub forum crash lost the porsche valve springs info. Can you post the source/specs if you have avail ? Yeah, because of the G54 robust torque, by 7000rpm you've done rippin. Schnieder 292 cam ? Another "porche?" trick one starquest builder used, was to wire-groove the cylinder head + the cheap 8770 felpro Held up to a GT35 @35 psi
Oh yes, I found that the trick is make sure the seat pressure doesn’t exceed 97 pounds two 100 pounds and with the Porsche valves they have little balls inside that dissipate the heat so it doesn’t burn anything internally and actually the Porsche valves is definitely an old trick And a good friend of mine has the recipe still and I believe it’s 944 valves or 928 if I’m not mistaken, but through lots and lots of testing that level of cam is not that good on the street, but with the combination of the proper Turbo, it blends seamlessly with the G25, 550 turbo and yes, O-ring the block or head is a good way to keep the seal even on a cheap gasket but the best way we do. It is O-ring the block and head so the rings interlock then you’re good for 65 psi as long as you have the proper fuel, like M1 but because this builds a modest 500 hp no need for the rings just yet there is a gasket that can hold without any of that just ARP’s
What is this Indian head product that you are always talking about do you have a link for the product thanks I also like your videos the are very informative and can you post links to all the product’s you Use and I just purchased the oil pump and the pickup thanks again
dunno if they changed the formula from way back, but that stuff stinked!😁 Could smell it from next door! Hard as heck to scrap off, if you ever had to.... I prefer the fel-pro gooey stuff, grey plastic bottle. Same type applicator
I see its a melling pump but what makes a higher volume pump or are you just shimming the pressure relief valve im curious becaus eim doing a high hp build and am needing higher than stock oil pressure
Oh yes, it’s definitely shimming the oil pressure relief valve, but what makes it high volume. The ports are slightly bigger through the block versus just the tube. The combination of both of them gives you all the oil pressure you need just be careful because too much shims it will be over 100 psi, usually one should do. The job should be around 90 to 88.
what camshaft & valve springs are you using for this build ? Majority of starquest dynos suffered the "typical 6000rpm nosedive". Schnieder + 6610 springs were most popular Schnieder CAN grind good cams.... but it's a very slim chance you'll receive one. Proven.
Oh yes, the springs on this one are Porsche Springs good for a redline of 8000 RPM tested and the cam is a 292 almost the same set up as four-cylinder fury but I definitely don’t plan on revving the car that high should be good for a redline of 7000
Oh yes, that’s another solution for those people who use the upgraded bigger valves,, but the shorter stem with the short spring combo so you have to use the longer bolts for the rocker to compensate
hey man i have been watching you for a while now! i was able to get my hands on a starion conquest tsi '89! I am not sure what modifications the previous owner did but what do you recommend for where to get a new head like the one you got?
Oh wow congratulations welcome to the club. Best thing to do is to contact Dad visa his website and he’ll be able to hook you up 100% so you would need ARP head bolts and the gasket that’s also assuming that your head is 100% flat.www.enginemachineservice.com/ems/index.php
Contact him he will get you 100% right with all of the best parts. Also, if you have any other questions, definitely feel free to contact me. I got you covered.
@legionelitemotorsports2096 I currently have am the same exact car as you . 01 mirage , so inspiring to see your build. I plan on making youtube videos as well.
Lol very true. I’m excited to get this one on the dino. It’s going to be the most responsive engine yet with the proper compression ratio. This one’s gonna be fun.
Lol oh yes, I’ve been waiting to make sure I have everything so when I do, we shouldn’t have any hiccups hopefully fingers crossed lol thank you thank you me too. I want to hear two step.💪🏿🦾💪🏿🦾
did you notice any increased noise vibration or harshness with these mounts? I also noticed a cold air intake, do you happen to have an exhaust as well? it sounded like it haha. I just bought a 2006 Eclipse GT and wanna know how much louder/harsher these are gonna make my car. I'm installing them alongside some RRE exhaust headers too so the install shouldnt be too bad.
Oh yes, I definitely noticed a vibration and that’s definitely the motor mount. It’s like having super stiff. Springs with no shocks it’s gonna bounce around. lol but yeah, I have a cold air intake with a stock exhaust so all of that noise is actually coming from the intake. I definitely want to get the transmission mount and the timing side mount. I think everything solid would reduce the bouncing around sort of speak.
@@legionelitemotorsports2096 I heard it’s the worst on idle. Under easy driving is it like droney or bad or anything? Did they break in and get a little smoother after a while?
hate those dam things!! Old style external slave/separate release bearing worked too well, I guess. Just so those pig$$$ can grab more out of your pocket. Free replacement worthless, if you still have to go thru all that mess of pulling the gearbox. They should help
Those motors rip, if on tune. Dunno how reliable.... hey, it's a mitsu! Clubmember bolted one straight to his 90 Mmax gearbox Used some 'other' oem ecu + a RPM swith also iirc.
It seems there is some kind of block off plate installed. At 8:26 you can see it below the TPS to the right. I still have the part installed which is originally bolted there. What exactly is this for?
Found this great video which goes into detail exploring the marvels of the 6g75. Interesting to note how there are hydraulic and regular valve lash adjusting valves on this motor. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Pbsw6Rl3qhc.htmlsi=sxHCdIX1iP-MLWgi
