Great to meet you at the Fraserview range today! Love your content. Let me know if you want any help with filming out there. Would love to get involved.
Good strategy. The thing all the "Every shot counts" devotees never seem to emphasize is the "without penalty strokes" part of "get it as close as possible." Penalty strokes doesn't mean just penalty areas, OB, and bunkers. Being blocked in the trees is a penalty shot. Being in deep rough is often a penalty or half-penalty for many amateurs. Being short-sided is often a penalty.
Nice seeing some local Vancouver content with an actual real golfer here lol . Try to get the shot tracers added though if that isn't too much of a pain to keep us viewers happy :)
a shell of its former self...20 years ago it was amazing...these days, it isn't as manicured as it used to be, and they present themselves a couple notches above where they really should be...I prefer Nk'Mip for not only value, but also for conditioning and playability.
oh yeah, I played a lot of the courses in the area and by far Nk'Mip was my favorite. Osoyoos desert gold for views (also for best value, 2 rounds w/cart only $140 Canadian), fairview mtn for elevation change which makes it a lot of fun, Penticton CC for best greens, but Nk'mip for overall. love this area, hopefully next summer I'll be able to hit some courses more north like tower ranch, or black mountain.
Wow dude, 2 index with no lessons? Pure talent and smart playing. 🎉 I’ve gotten from 27 to 15 in 2 yrs, Hoping to reach single digits next season. I’m a local, Hope I run into you on a metro Van track somewhere soon!
27 to 15 in 2 years is great! Keep at it and you'll be a single in no time. I found keeping things simple and focusing on club face and contact made things easier.
Getting back into golf and this course does a great job of transitioning a golfer from the range to a full course of golf. I shot my best round of 37 there last week. Great short track.
My home course is NK’mip canyon desert golf course which is 5 minutes away from this course and is very similar but a lot more flat and a bit easier to score low at. Fairview however has the nicer facilities. I recommend coming back and trying NK’mip as well if you haven’t already.
Unlucky on 10 for that ball not to funnel down…I hit that same shot and wound up middle of the green 5 feet below the cup. 👍 for the vid. Like the change up!
After coming back from BC a couple weeks ago, if there’s anything I’ve learned it’s that have to have a comfortable club off the tee that’s less than driver. Otherwise, on some of these tighter holes you’re in deep trouble lol
