Proud momma moment. Not only just because Andrew is my son but proud of all these boys. Many of them have played together for the past 10 years. They are such a close knit bunch of kids. Shout out to (coach)Pete Cerone for teaching the all the fundamentals when they were just kids and a Huge shout out to all the Neumann Goretti coaches!! They were relentless in their training and support to bring these kids to be Champions!!! Love mom and dad!
As a die hard roller fan I would like to say I believe Fort Cherry has all the makings of a state championship team. They just happened to run into a jaugernaught in Steel High this year. I fully expect to see them back next year with the talent they have.
Thanks for having the game for us to view. It was enjoyable to have access to this game and all the games this year. I hope Ryan game will be on here too. I went when the two played at Lincoln few weeks ago. It was very tense. Im staying home.
You know, I said the same thing...I was at the game, and just saw how confidently he shot it, with absolutely no fear. You could tell he had no issues living with the consequences if he missed. Just love that he had the guts to take it.
Great game, but the whole nation needs a shot clock! We are supposed to be preparing kids to play in college. Holding the ball at the end of the quarters and the end of the game, low scoring games with teams just holding the ball for long parts of the game ruin the game.
No it actually makes the game. This was one of the best endings in basketball history. The no shot clock is the reason those back to back “game winning” shots were hit.
Thank you Bob, I was in the building for this spectacle, THE GREATEST SHOW in high school basketball in the country. My favorite team around is READING HS, but as for pure all around b-ball, I'll take the PCL of PHILADEPIA. Thank again, Bruce @ Lancaster.😀🏀
It is....I was there, and honestly, not having the shot clock just added to the drama....I am fully in favor of no shot clock in high school. Are there times the game drags and slows down because of it? Sure, but these are high school kids, it's fine. I obviously didn't hear the broadcasters as I was at the game, but you're right, they were great!
The refs called this game really good no wood or la salle player can be upset la salle going to have a tuff time this year,if you look at that play again number 3 does hit him on the arm and that ref has a good look to see that and at the college level that’s what they want refs to do I thought his back hand is on him ,I love your commentating btw bob
The foul was called on #4 Parisi, not O'Brien. One of the worst calls made in many years watching high school basketball. The official two feet from the play lets them play on and this guy has to intercede and make the referre assist in determining game's outcome. Broke the cardinal rule of officiating. Brutal call at that stage of the game. Congrats to Wood, however. Classic PCL matchup.
Grew up on the same block? CB South has maybe a 1500 student pool to choose from while St Joes get to recruit from the tri-state. Not really a fair fight
