They made a sequel to this movie in 1985 🍿 And of course, late night cable in 2010 made an "adult" parody called "The Hills Have Thighs" (no joke, look it up) 😹
THe old man who runs the gas station is in a cheech and chong movie. Who remembers the welfare office scene? Chong is sitting in between some old man laughing his ass off and a black guy doing a bunch of sound effects. THat's a cameo to me hahaha

I was 7 years old when this came out at the theater. This movie inspired me to get a German Shepherd. I had 3 GSD over the years and YES they are this intelligent but they need basic command training.
Never saw this "classic" until today, here's my thoughts; nearly every single scene is beyond stupid, the dialogue stinks, the background music annoying at best. Acting's on par with something you'd see in a school play.
This movie was released in the US August 30, 1972. My newly married husband and I had eloped August 28, 1972. I was 18. I had run away from home. So what does he take me to see... this movie.... I was scared to death. Turned out I made a "HUGE " mistake. Seems like yesterday, but I did escape that marriage with my life. Thankfully.

the humans in these movies are so stupid the movies are unwatchable. people don't become cops cuz they are bright but no cop or his family could possibly be this stupid. However, they do represent a nation stupid and evil enough to drop nukes all over the place.
