Thanks for the video. It helped me a lot. Now I'm changing brake fluid in my Vitara 1.0 2019. Do you know what's the brake bleeding sequence for this model or it doesn't really matter. Where to start? Can't find any info about it. 👍
@@sourwords1808 I went to the aisin website and I found the actual transmission and they said it needs to be flushed every 20k kms. I have done 60k kms. Even worse Suzuki says it is a lifetime fluid!
Oh by the way it's not a "flush" this is just a drain and fill. Flush removes the entire fluid so yes only once is enough. I didn't flush I only drain the pan!
The total volume is 6+ litres (torque converter and valve body hood over half the vol) so a partial drain/refill will be '50/50' old/new. Repeating this means you're 75/25 old/new... and so on.
Many thanks for the Fantastic video - made it very easy to follow and do the job. For anyone looking to do the same, if you flush only twice then you will need 7.5L .....2.5L to replace the original oil is flush (1), then need 2.5L to flush (2), plus 2.5L to refill after second flush. If you flush 3 times then you need 10L. Oil needs to be AW-1 Auto Transmission Oil (or similar).
Fantastic video, really helpful as the dealer told me this transmission is 'sealed for life' ! Could you advise where the overflow plug is located pls?
Just to say thanks again... done this job today - 1.4 turbo at 38,000 miles, the oil was black and really needed changed. Only thing I'd add to your method is I removed the battery tray bracket (one of the bolts was a bugger to get to...) to make access to the filler a bit easier. And I went straight to a 2 foot breaker bar on the drain plug - it was worth it! No idea why here in UK at least the dealers don't offer this as a service ??
It doesn't look like it - I had a look around the way the transmission is designed it looks the entire block is aluminium - I did not see a ''pan'' but that could be somewhere else (either way I have read that it doesn't need to be changed anyway)
Had a good look at mine today... The pan in on the front (you can see the RTV around the outside) - the whole transmission is rotated 90 degrees. No way I'm getting into that though... Looks like the whole front end needs to come off!
@@neil1997 Yeah I noticed that too, do not worry about the Pan just do the oil drains - My other car (Kia Cerato/Forte) is the same the pan is at the front. Seems to becoming a trend now with new cars
Piston slap, these engines especially the G4NA engine dont have good pistons. Just search "G4NA" with brackets to see russian channels inspecting and changing the engines. Massive cylinder wall wear even from 95k they could totally fail.
Each drain was a bit less than 2.5L. I drained it twice as you can see on the video, so total around 5L. If you do it 3 times you will need 7.5L and so on. Year 2018
Thanks for the video. What if a mechanic adds 3 and a quarter liters after draining and not measuring the drained amount. Is this considered as overfilled? Should I worry :)
@@nomadiclog Should be ok because on the manual itsays you need to add the amount you drained plus an extra 500mL. When I opened the drain plug it seemed that it had a bit more inside anyway.
I’m having the same issue with my Kia forte 2021 at 87km, is there a specific problem with the engine, is it worth going to a mechanic? Cuz it gets annoying at some point lol. Thanks.
Have 2019 kia forte with 220000 km on it, make knocking sound when start in the morning but go away after 5 minutes. also when accelerating at high rpm make rattling noise. I start using 91 premium oil and it goes away and car runs so smooth.
I simply got some vinyl wrap! I just cut it in a circle and stuck it on (with a hot blow-dryer) it molds on the plastic, even in rain has not fallen off yet! (Just get some off ebay you don't need too much).
To be honest I am not even sure what that 3rd wire does! I have a feeling it is there for the higher grade models with actual LED lights perhaps? Or just a canbus check.
@@thebestworst995 I think (from memory) that 3rd wire gives you the high beam. I am not sure which one has the canbus but if you get the canbus kit and connect it the way I have the error goes away.
Took it to the dealer he said the newest Forte/Cerato is very noisy due to high pressure fuel pump and valve intakes. I am still a bit skeptical but the dealer reassured me it is normal. Only time will tell. Mine also lasts a few minutes then goes away.
@@takivilas I can confirm I bought another Cerato same model and specs (albeit a 2021 vs 2019) same engine and the new one does NOT do this ticking noise even when on cold starts, so I am going back to the dealer to get this sorted!
try this step i got from forum 1. Open settings 2. Activate developer options (My device > Tap 8 times on "MIUI-Version") 3. Settings > Additional Settings 4. Developer options 5. Disable MIUI-Optimizations (at the very bottom). 6. Reboot but this will also disable some other features of MIUI
