Thanks. Yes, so wonderful to even just revisit the video and sense those amazing beings in the water around. They have personalities and attitudes even noticable by non-marine biologists.

So how we fix it
@AnatomyShow

Hyperextended knees are addressed by learning how to use muscle actions in the legs, feet and torso to support other joint positions in movement and steady posture.

can u do a video on how having no collar bone would affect you? i don’t have clavicles i was born without them and i’m trying to understand why my body is the way it is due to this. very informative video thank you for the information
@AnatomyShow
@AnatomyShow Год назад
Collar bones (clavicles) are interesting bones in that we don't need them to stand upright, walk or go about our life in most circumstances. Cats, dogs, horses and so on do not have collar bones. The main function of the collar bones seems to be that they keep the arms at the side of the body. I've not worked with someone who was born without clavicles. However, I've worked with plenty of people who have (usually by accident) destroyed either the clavicle or the joint connection to the shoulder. This left those people functionally without a collar bone. Surprisingly, there was no reduction in shoulder and arm functionality. These people were still able to do weight bearing exercises on their arms, including hand stands and other strong yoga postures. Personally for you, the passive shoulder and arm positioning usually done by the collar bone can be achieved by fine-tuning the tone and activation of the muscles around your torso and shoulder.

Hello! Does your course touch on hiatal hernia and it's impact on respiratory health? I am finding very little information on how to improve core health and diaphragm health without exacerbating hiatal hernia.
@AnatomyShow
@AnatomyShow 2 года назад
Hi! You are right, there is little practical information available on hiatus hernia. The course does not directly address specific health conditions, but offers useful information to understand the relationship and anatomical set-up of the diaphragm at the area where hiatus hernia occurs. Conditioning and strengthening the diaphragm might have to precede abdominal / outer core strength improvements to be able to handle the pressures created.

I cannot do fire log or sit crossed legged…….so what do you suggest
@AnatomyShow
@AnatomyShow 3 года назад
Hi Alan, This is a pretty extreme pose and fire log, or sitting cross legged on the floor is not required. You could begin sitting on a chair with your legs crossed at the ankles. Keep your ankles about under your knees, not under the chair or further out in front. Then move forward with your torso from the hip joints as described in the video. Over time you can either lower the chair or add some height under your ankles. Gradually cross your legs further as mobility permits. Only practice as long, or as far, as your knees feel okay. This posture is about hip mobility and lower back fascia, not knees. Hope this helps.

There absolutely is at Tualatin Hills Nature Park in beaverton Oregon. It’s an urban park about a 20 minute drive away from downtown Portland although there difficult to capture on camera because they swim away very quickly.

Is there another nerve on the other outter side of the elbow? That's where my pain for 3 months now is.
@AnatomyShow
@AnatomyShow 4 года назад
Hi! Nerves on outer elbow are less exposed. Outer elbow pain is often related to tightness of forearm muscles on outside of the arm, the extensors, at the point where they connect to the elbow.
