I have a starter kit that comes with the charging system. I found a tact that uses the one of the polls from the A/c side to gauge my rpm. You can find it on amazon. Type in Tactometer for alternator
Most food oils contain glycerol. It cokes up a heavy deposit and has to be removed. I stick to road diesel. The motor oil consumption is surprisingly high during break in.
Unfortunately the muffler makes no difference at idle. I muffler only makes a difference at hard load. Even with no muffler at idle sounds almost the same but put that engine under load and you'll hear it then. I like the Briggs and Stratton muffler idea super cool idea wonder how quiet it would be under load...
Nice job on everything beautiful paint job it'd be nice to have one but I can't have one down here where I live it's got to have pedals on it........ damn nice job
For a heads up, Im working on a new project. This engine is part of the project. I will post a new video of the start and finish. Think OCC Schwinn Diesel-power stretched out chopper bike
What value gap do you recommend ...my engine only runs backwards ..pulling air in the muffler blowing smoke out of the intake along with a lil bit of flame here and there i finally shut it off..opened the side cover timing marks on the cam and crank line up
They pulled the pumper out too drain it I guess I took it out wiggled it pulled the cord it went back in place I put the bolts back in pulled it one time it started pumping ..
Sorry i didn't do a tutorial on how to install the electric starter kit. Take off the shroud which is the orange cover. Take off the fuel tank. Get rid the throttle linkage. you wont be using it. the flywheel nut should be a 19mm socket. the stator bolt is a m8x1.5 pitch by 8 or 10mm length. (3x) (my wire placed differently) i pushed mine towards the cyl head The bracket for the throttle in the kit, there is a bolt that is on left, that is where the new throttle bracket goes. (it took me 2 days to figure it ou) bracket for the starter bolts on the right side. the bracket lines off the bolt holes need to find bolts long enough for the both brackets. the new Flywheel torque is about 80-100 ft-lb of torque. (make sure to bolt the fan too) bolt the cover. I left the regulator seperate from the kit. Hope this help
