La voz de Mario Lampas es de tenor lírico ligero , preciosa y con buena técnica . Ojalá tuviéramos, ahora algún tenor así y qué no le obligasen a cantar un repertorio distinto a su voz , pues si lo hacen , duran 5 años máximo .
You must have been very nervous, and when you get the breath going well supported there is some impressive singing. But boy, she could have slammed you big time for intonation issues every time you had to back away from forte. And her ear was perfect. She must have liked you! I have found this in the Master Classes of the great divas of her era. They crucify the women but are rather gentle with the men.

Yes, he is definitely the tenor who worked with Callas at Juilliard. You can tell by the timbre of his voice. He certainly advanced in the twenty intervening years.
Jody Lasky was my voice teacher for several years in the 1980's. I adored her and so enjoyed working with her and the Lubo Opera which she and her husband, Dimi founded. Lubo means love! Jody had such a beautiful, God given voice. We met over a song I wrote with a friend. Jody sang it it Carnegie Recital Hall. What a thrill! Jody gave me the chance to sing in the chorus of Lubo, moving up to character parts. My biggest thrill was singing Hoffman in a workshop production of Tales of Hoffman that Lubo mounted. My only regret is that I never got to sing with her!
