I had some guide/overview videos in mind a while ago, but fell off it because of inexperience in video editing. Might revisit it at some point though, I get people asking for videos like it more than I thought I would!
I know it is a really old video but It looks like you have the skill "Sharpening sheathing" (3:48) but it doesn't appear in the skill tree at the end of the video. Could you explain me how please ?
We used to use it, but being able to consistently get 2 strong charges + strong wide slash on openings instead of 2 crit draws adds up a lot. There's also a lot of times where previously we would get a crit draw and stagger the head but not do the followup strong wide slash on the stagger animation because it usually wasn't worth it with a crit draw set. Optimising these scenarios leads to unsheathed being stronger because the combo is just so strong.
I just really dislike valor horn tbh so I've never tried to use it in any serious capacity. There's some weird restriction on the right swing, like you can't use it after the forward slam, and some recital restrictions which I just don't care for. There might be a strat with it but I got comfortable with the opener and timing for the roar punishes I came up with for this set. Setting up the opening song would be quite awkward with valor compared to this opener I used. Might be worth revisiting this with adept actually.
@@shufooni239 oh yea I get that. I'm personally not a big fan of non Guild styles in general. I thought there was some technical reason where Guild wins our despite the skill tax
This is amazing. I think there are only two times you missed a Level 3 to the head at every possible opportunity. This is crazy clean & shows some truly entertaining GS play. Well done!
Im trying to get into Hunting Horn in GU, but it feels weird compared to WorldBorne's, and especially different to RiseBreak's. Is Guild the preferred style to use with it?
Guild is overall the best, but adept has some uses in certain matchups if you want to avoid things that you can't with normal rolls (for example, it was used here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ESfwaGhLIFk.html to dodge the roar and avoid having to fit in earplugs on the set), the adept dodge combo does horrible damage though. Valor is alright too honestly. If you're just playing normally and not speedrunning I'd only recommend against striker and alchemy really.
@shufooni sounds good. Thank you for the advice, gonna go and try out Guild first and if I think might need the nice Valor dodges, ill go in that direction.
@@locoghoul I'm not sure if I could do a good enough job on one. I started a guide for Fatalis but ran into some roadblocks with how to structure it and just not being very good / having no experience at editing videos. I do want to come back to it and finish it at some point though. I think Gaijin Hunter's old vid is mostly fine as an overview. I think the main things he doesn't mention are that encores of self improvement are shorter, that there's a hilt stab quick recital, and the song display menu.
