My name is Randen, Welcome to my car journey as I enter the world of performance driving & today's car culture. I'm also massive fan of the Lexus F program. Some may also recognize me for being on a show called Survivor on season 46! Join me as I figure out how to capture my experience on video and get to know the people I meet along the way!
My favorite car is a Lexus LFA Nurburgring Package White Carbon spec if you must know @Lexus!
I need an allocation. I been asking dealership and Lexus lol. LF-R is their true GT3 develop race car. It will be around 150k with higher trim. I have asked my local dealership to host events and u r right there’s nothing to support the Lexus racing team. I can proudly say that in my super car groups, people are asking me about the Fuji and I telling about the “new super car” Lexus coming out. They r tired of the usual brands.
Thanks for commenting! Well the RCF GT3 is an all out race car aswell developed with GR aswell. The difference is the RCF chassis was developed to be a multitude of things like a convertible and support multiple versions and configs. The RCF was designed from the street to the track. The LF-Rs chassis is being designed in reverse from the track to the street. What you should see is less weight ultimately. Both are all out race cars just now it’s focus will be even more apparent dynamically. Fujis’s and TEs are bad ass the last time Lexus did a special track focused hardware added model was the LFA Nurb Package.
Thanks brethren little by little one fun thing at a time amongst the chaos! The LF-R indeed has alot of explaining to do in terms of price placement. Personally im quite concerned about this hybrid future and what is the M4 slot car for Lexus. We just dont have much on it but yet we know more about the upcoming Chevy Corvette Zora model than what Lexus is doing with its performance full F brand.
Thanks brethren probably the only purposeful track-based art i own. I do own multiple signed 3GT stuff with Scott P and that whole team and the Vasser team but nothing beats the car. Parts coming in now for the next video good stuff on yours aswell!
@@Ej1djknew09 It’s a special car thats for sure with specific engineering, but as a car fan it would be more inline with the generation of the E92 M3 GTS era which in my view this car is a perfected M3 E92 experience. The GTS of course goes a bit further with removing more things because Lexus still wanted to retain sound deadening and its GT hybrid cruiser nature. You wouldnt want to travel in a M3GTS on a road trip but in a RCF FSE you can hit the track drive home and not even hear the engine that you where running at 7.3k hours ago with zero cooling issues or break issues. Kinda its thing.
Hey bro im looking to buy a track edition , do u know if they make the blue one but in a non matte finish ? Awesome video man i think i see u on fb group too
@@jamiele296 Thats a Fuji Edition Limited color they do not. You can only get Track Editions with gloss paint. The Fuji Editions are done for the RCF and this is also the last year for the track editions as the F brand reaches its 3rd generation of new cars soon and whatever that maybe LFR etc.
@@RevelCris Fuji Speedway Editions are limited iterations which are the same as track editions mechanically but have a special matte paint ( Track Editions are Gloss) Fuji’s also come with a MSTR Fuji Watch. If its matte its a Fuji Speedway Edition, if its gloss paint its a track edition. Fun fact Fuji Speedway wasn't the only track that was going to release as a special model. Will discuss in a future episode. 🤘🏽
@@RandenMontalvo great info. I’m in a big debate on getting the rcf for 46k and doing the upgrades myself like the brakes and hood or just getting a track edition for 68k
@@RevelCris I would always go with the best iteration period. Lexus CF is second ( and its actually track tested aero) to none and the brakes are from the same series as the LFA. The TEs are the lightest versions and also the quickest due to the weight and fastest around a track. Don't go cheap is my recommendation spend the coin get the better car. The BBS wheels are some of the lightest wheels you can buy period for the track. If I wasn't going to hit the track I would recommend a 2020+ CF Performance Package iteration since it has the internal and tech upgrades. I'm not a fan of the TVD but you can't parse that in earlier years. I wouldn't do anything prior to 2020 in a RCF at this point unless you plan on Super Charging it then you have to go Gen 1 due to the ECU. Gen 2 or rather refresh RCFs all the way is my recommendation. And if you can afford it get the best version you can afford.
Great car. I've owned my IS-F since new...16 years now daily driving and it has never let me down. I have a new modified Supra as well that runs circles around these F cars, but if I had to I would get rid of the Supra before the F. The sound and feel of the 2URGSE is just so special even if they are all now slow by today's standards.
@@MisterSkizzels we have a MK5 in the fam ( its on my IG ) but it barley gets driven. Personally its not even a contest I would take any F car to hit the track any day over a MK5. Then again I'm a E92 era type of track person and the RCF is a perfected E92 in my opinion. The issue with the MK5 is we had BMWs prior and its kinda the same vibe. The RCF screams Japanese engineering and the thing drives home in Eco mode without a rattle or a sound. Now a MK4 Supra modified is another level of fun that would say is always a treat 🤘🏽i must say. Props to the ISF! Love them on the track! In terms of a MK5 If I was going that route I would just get a M2 better car for the track.
@@RandenMontalvo my only wish is that they never would have planned to have a convertible RC....that way the chassis wouldn't have been so heavy for a coupe. I find the mk5 harder to drive than the F due to the shorter wheelbase and the fact that our of every corner it wants to go sideways
@@MisterSkizzels well remember at the time the RCF was the stiffest chassis Lexus made sans LFA. It had to fit different roles to appease leadership and also it was a car developed for those roles first than the track. They took everything they learned from that and now did the complete reverse with the LFR. Track car first then consumer iteration development. They had a lot of plans for the car. Including a another engine. When you strip the RCF it makes an insane NA track car. I'm going to dive into that in later episodes.
@@MisterSkizzels MK5s are decent and of course great results from heavily modded ones, oil starvation ain't fun around the track but its not the end of the world there; the issue with the MK5 is that there's a M2 and not for nothing everything is just better in that package. At the end of the day their all tools right and the best one is the you personally love. For me I just love high revving NA engines any day on a track. 🤘🏽 reason I still love S2Ks and various NA engines lol.
Purchased my RC-F earlier this year... couldn't be happier. Congratulations on your Fuji! Thats a true unicorn, I've only ever seen one other one here in SoCal!
Great choice good sir follow on IG i will follow back love to see all the F fam!! Im going to dive into all models differences etc in my podcast on this same channel.
Honestly it's cool to see somebody buy one of these after a lot of RU-vid journalists scoffed at it for the price. If you love the RC-F, I don't think you're necessarily trying to make value comparisons knowing that you're buying the best version of a awesome car.
Agreed, if i buy a car i want the best iteraiton and dont make excuses. Your dead on!! this car mind you was brought to me while i was nearly buying a M4GTS and after driving the Fuji..i was shocked on how underrated the car was. Its such an incredible platform and this packace connected the dots on answering its biggest issues prior in my view and ....well thats all she wrote and i cut the check!
Why? Because is a reliable track car that you can go from Eco to Expert mode. It can cut mountains, run down a ton of cars in the highway and gives u a V8 24 MPGs
Thanks for the comment brethren!! To be honest reliablity wasnt even on my radar with the RCF; I was nearly going to buy an M4GTS. Reliability wasn't a selling point i was interested in rather the experience of driving the car and how fun it was and planted on a track. I fell in love with how it feels driving it more than the M4GTS translated to me. In my opinion the car is a refined E92 if that makes sense. I dont compare this to the G series but the E92 series. The experience driving it and how the mechanics translated was critical for me. After not enjoying a 2017 RCF prior due to the diff on that model this was the first time i got back into the car years later and i fell in love with the upgrades and the feel of the car being Lighter, faster more nimble and just insane stablity at high speeds and incredible brakes that remind me of the carbons on the M cars. It also didnt have that blatant understeer issue i experienced in that 2017 model. They have tamed it some how in the later models is my theory although it still remains under tired. It just gives a higher level of confidence that just finally connected the dots with me and being a hyper fan of the racing program. Now im a hyper fan and want to start the journey to with it and man its a blast!!! Time to make her a GTS!!!
You dont see them because, you know, _they werent sold in this hemisphere._ They were only sold in Japan. AND theyve only been legal in the usa since 2016.
Of course, we all know the WIKI history of the Cappuccino their a great rare find. My first encounter with them was 2017 where I initially saw one one pull in via a private classic car club manhattan meet ( owner was a collector ). Glad you know the history aswell! Its a great thing to see and very fun on the track! Miata level fun!! Thanks for chiming in!
I believe my class ended at around 3pm it was a insane ride, different classes can end at different times due to changes to how they run the sessions actually if you check lower in these messages @daviddrum98 is an instructor!! Dude is a beast....sadly he exposed the fact that I do well on the road course but cant drift a M2 for the life of me. LOL Rock out man!
@@Fuji_RCF Agreed it's important to use these platforms to give back, I have no use to solicit followers but what I will be loud on is supporting everything to assist those in need!! Let's get it!!
