It kind of has. Now all DDR5 sticks including this one, do have on-die ECC. However it's not same as true ECC. So I think this would be considered a NON ECC stick. There are true ECC variants of DDR5 that have extra data lines deticated to ECC. This is not one of those. So yeah this is considered a NON ECC stick. Even though it has on-die ECC. DDR5 is a bit confusing.

Personally I decided to not connect that molex sata adapter. Simply put adapters like that are known for being fire hazards. And it did make the LED to work however the big blue LED was also distracting. So I decided to not connect it. Just a heads up if anyone is thinking of buying this.
Update. After almost 3 years of service this player gave up. A cog snapped and two plastic pieces have broken away meaning the tray will not work and the only way to repair this is with a 3d printer as there are no replacement parts.
