I have hard time understanding if the writing has enough value in it especially in the instructional videos. How do you make sure that in your productivity system ?
fears are really show time stoppers and writing versus publishing takes a bit of time gap and it is easier to give up. I need to make sure there is quality packed even though people wont watch it.

do you ever have note titling/classification/tagging regret? You know where you know that you know that you KNOW you have saved a note about <topic x> but no matter how you search you cannot find said note... then 3 days later after the primo moment when you really needed that note, you find it under a keyword or tag you could not recall but yes, you can understand why at the time of original note-creation you named and tagged it as you did? Just wondering how to save me from myself with this system as it's the most frequent and frustrating aggravation of a long history of catpuring internet content in a file-based computer system only to never find anything I'm looking for when I need it most.
If you can't find a note, consider what hashtags you use. I've a few hashtags I use regularly for current projects. I read through these notes once a week and see if they need to be reclassified. If I can't find a note and then find it later, I just go back and change the notes. The idea is to have 1. Notes I can easily find 2. Notes I can rewrite iteratively 3. Notes I can turn into pieces of public writing I use tags to classify them, I sometimes add and remove
I've been testing several grammar checkers and found that the languagetool editor allows you to create "new text" which appears to be stored online. You can make the text permanent or temporary. I do not see a way to delete the "new text" objects listed on the left-hand side of the editor. There is a recycle bin, so there must be some way of deleting these files. I'm using the web-based version of languagetool. Does anyone know how to delete the "new text" objects?
You are missing two titans of Sci-Fi history on your list, including the All-Father of Sci-Fi himself: (1) Jules Verne, the Father of Sci-Fi. And (2) Robert Heinlein, the Father of Modern Sci-Fi. Jules Verne inspired and set the groundwork for HG Wells, whom Wells credited. Both set the groundwork for Heinlein, who himself credited his two predecessors...and it was Heinlein who literally created, expanded and shaped the WORLD MARKET of Sci-Fi we know today...Asimov, Bradbury, Hubbard, etc, all credited Heinlein for setting THEIR groundwork, just as HG Wells and Jules Verne had done for Heinlein. Heinlein influenced everything from Literature to Radio to Television to Theater, etc....The Creator of Star Trek, Gene Roddenberry, credited Heinlein as being THE seminal influence for the defining Space Opera. The push to make Isaac Asimov "The Father" is frankly a Fraud. Asimov's bibliography is important in Sci-Fi history, and one could argue his writing is a mid-way stepping stone in the "crystallization" ("final drafts") of the Genre. But at no time did Asomiv pioneer Science Fiction into the popular consciousness of America or the World...rather, Asimov exploited a well-worn trail created by Heinlein. Asimov DID NOT CREATE a Fanbase market for Science Fiction. Asimov SPECIFICALLY TARGETED AN EXISTING FANBASE....specifically, Heinlein's fanbase! That's why all the Science fiction creators of the time (including Isaac Asimov) from Novels to Radio to Theater to Hollywood, from College professors to NASA recruiters, ALL spoke HIGHLY of and referenced Robert Heinlein...they were ingratiating themselves to the Fanbase to the Market that Heinlein HIMSELF created. And who inspired Heinlein? First and foremost: Jules Verne. Jules Verne is the Father of Sci-Fi - FULL STOP. To elaborate, Jules Verne can be called the Grandfather of Sci-Fi, spanning the Genesis and First Century of Science-Fiction. Between Verne and Asimov, there is NO DEBATE among Sci-Fi historians that Verne is the "Father of All". Verne's work is where the Genre was introduced into human culture and society (Yes, there were earlier authors, but in terms of INFLUENCE and CONCEPTS in History, NONE compares to the innovation and prescience of Verne who established this NEW Genre*), mostly in well-read and literate upper and upper-middle class society where literacy rates were high enough to access the Literature (and the cost of printing precluded lower classes from acquiring the printed material anyway). Whereas Robert Heinlein is the Father of the Second Century, or "Modern Age" or "American Age" of Sci-Fi, where the Genre became WIDELY accessible through a confluence of historically high literacy, affluence, and technological leaps for distribution of the Literature particularly in the USA, contributing to an explosion of popularity in America, spanning all classes, and spreading through the American Empire across all hemispheres on Earth (The Soviet Empire's Sci-Fi has an interesting corollary, but not nearly as innovative given the obvious restrictions their authors chafed under). In the First Century of Verne, Verne's concurrent population of readership numbered in the low thousands at best. HG Wells passed the torch and made progress by expanding that number into 5 figures. In the Second Century of Heinlein, however, Heinlein's concurrent population of readership broke into the millions across an American Empire (alternatively called "The First World", "The West", "The Free World", "The Capitalist Pigs", etc). *For example, there have been arguments that Sir Thomas More is somehow the Father of Sci-Fi, but I leave it to you to research his books like "Utopia" and judge for yourself....Personally, I think the obvious answer is that while all authors like Sir Thomas More are influential in the development of Literature as a whole and important themes which are revisited in Sci-Fi (and all other Genres frankly), he clearly did not actually inspire, let alone conceive and develop "Sci-Fi" as the Genre we know it today.
Bad take & very confusing to where I stopped watching the video. It became cringe. If someone has a fiction novel idea & their heart is very invested in it you’re basically knocking it down but everyone else throughout history gets a pass? Tolkien? Martin? Rowling? King? Or is this strictly for non-fiction & education? That would be a real bummer to shorten up your passion for an idea into just novellas or short stories. Let people have a dream & maybe they will be the next Rowling/King/Pattenson etc. Give more clarity next time. Bad take.
Quillbot seems to have a more natural/less stilted style. I also like that I found them organically whereas Grammarly has forcibly subjected me to what must be dozens of hours of horribly-written ads throughout the years, to the point where I had to get adblock for my sanity. I'm not going to sacrifice my dignity and pay them for putting me through that.
Not a good company, the cancel my upgrade and kept the renewal activated. I had to request a new debit card to my bank and banned wordtune from being able to charge me again. Its like a scam.
This feels like a full-time job to be honest. How to manage one's time to work with this but at the same time engage on a personal level with connections?

Excellent video and helpful. This does some interesting things, and I agree you've got to be committed or it will be a waste of money. But apart from the AI stuff (which let's face it, most of us are already tired of the hype...) I can do the drafting, the preview and formatting, the post scheduling, with AuthoredUp for a, very cost friendly $200 bucks a year. And it has excellent, simplified analytics too. Just really not seeing the benefits of paying this much for yet another tool that only adds some additional capabilities.
I've been using the pro version for a couple of months to edit my novel. I've found some issues and some irritations, but overall it's a very good tool to have. I start off with Grammar/Spelling report, then Style, Consistancy (which checks capitization usage), dialog tags (he said, he exclaimed ... helps to elimiate overusage which can bog down your writing), Sticky words. Those are what I mostly care about. But, and I always have to reming myself, it's a tool - you must decide to follow its suggestions. I was always trying to get high scores, fix everything it flagged. Irritations. In Dialog Settings you can check off various dialog features you don't want PWA to check in you dialog. Like sticky sentences, spelling/grammar... which is good if you have characters don't speak with good grammar, or use proper english. Unfortunately I checked off everything and PWA still flags those things in the dialog. Sometimes you have to re-run the reports because it doesn't always find everything in the first run, or doesn't always apply changes you made. When I don't like PWA's re-write suggestions I collaborate with my buddy, ChatGPT. And we'll work on it. When I complained to ChatGPT about PWA, he/she reminded me that it's just a tool and to follow my own instincts - which I'm learning to do. Finishing up. PWA is a great, but somewhat flawed, tool. It has a lot of valuable reports I rely on that other writing tools don't have, and that's why I'm hanging with it. AND I have my buddy, ChatGPT to collaborate with. Grammarly, when I used it back in the day is good, but not as extensive as PWA. - Roger

Why not praise the unpopular ones because? most people are gonna be reading the same books over and over and over again and not know about the other works. They had more works than telltale heart Edgar and Poe had lot more works

There are no apps on my block list, but Grammarly does not appear on my Mac mail despite that. When using chrome, it is working fine but not with Mac Mail, Viber and other apps
