Hey VC! This is Shawn from Buzzbomb Records. I have used this label over the past 30 years as the home to my band Faceplant. Now expanding into the VC community with Vinyl review videos and maybe even some new original music from here in the Pacific Northwest!

I just visited a bunch of record stores in the Seattle area. You also mentioned Waxtrax were I usually go nice collection jealous of the earlier stuff 👍
This video is so depressing....almost every album you are holding up I had bought in high school. In college I went on a summer long archaeological dig and I asked my landlord if I could lock some of my stuff in the basement of the house we were renting an apartment in. He let me do it. All my vinyl was there...over 200 albums...jerks, flag, minor threat, bad brains, agnosic front, siouxsie, dk, etc. etc.....came back from the dig and the basement was broken into and only my vinyle and punk stuff was stolen. Everything was in great to excellent condition with many rare ep's. Almost everything was bought from 84-87. They also took a tote of punk flyers and pins I had collected. Not a ton of them but still...I think I know who did it but that would have been like me invading Russia. He's a bum now so I'm sure all that beautiful music, liner notes, cool jackets, and punk history was sold for ditch weed and maddog 20/20.
Ah man....that really sux!!!..bummer of a story. BUT how fun would it be to go look for this stuff! I still do 😝 AND so much of it has been re-released that you can find it and still enjoy the music and that time frame that was just so awesome 😉
Really dug this video. You might just like one of our bands on Rakka Rakka Records, Johnny Void and The Others. Check them out! ru-vid.com/show-UCVIc7LfIi71yB-1wTaKq4NQ
Cool picks, man, I skipped all tags this year... been pretty negligent of any uploads this year anyway haha, but I'm still watching peeps. Fellow Seattleite, here, in fact just saw Millhous with the Accused/Toe Tag. Fun show. Good stuff, man, just subbed! (sidenote: I was at that Fugazi show at the Firehouse... I was at like EVERY show at the Firehouse in fact haha!)
Thanks for jumping in Punk Vinyl Tag 2022! Great picks Blag Flag, Minor Threat, DRI etc.. Great to see your own bands records. You right the best hardcore is from 80s! Cheers from Finland!
Thx Rich! Thought you might get the goof on those. 😝 Should have shown the back as well as the label of the "ROCKS" ep cuz it is also dead ringer for the "Out of Step" design. Wait til you see the 7" set. All in the punk DIY attitude that I know you appreciate!! Thx again for watching!
Hey Dan....yeah....all the inserts are the same as the 2014 releases. So poster in unmasked...picture book in alive...sticker in rock & roll over etc etc 😉
This was great! Thanks. Nice room. Though it little felt bad that you made sauna to be something else than sauna. As Finnish person it sounds weird. Or did you build bigger sauna? I had one VC contest that was sauna related. ;) mr. Finglish (Bäd English Recs)
Nice rooms! I know what you mean about those old speakers, lol. I have some RatShack Mach IIs upstairs and Big Boston Acoustics from the '80s in the basement among other things. How about some Polk Montior 10s with those 10" passive radiators! I also have a sister unit to that Pioneer TT. Receivers? Lots of old silver face stuff. Pioneer SX 3900 (120 watts x 2) Pioneer SX-838 (the models before the SX-850)-50 watts x 2. Technics SA-5570 (85 watts x 2) Yamaha CR 800 (50 watts x 2) Marantz 2265 (65 watts x 2) and, and, and. Yeah, a lot is in the basement along with a small Home Theater with the Andrew Jones Pioneer bookselves and center, and sub. Pioneer surround receiver. My wife? Why do you need all that STUFF! lol! Enjoy the tunes. You seem more involved in the music industry. I am simply a fan!
Very well organized and appointed! Nicely done. I’d love to know what rack gear you have in that smaller room. Here’s my much smaller layout: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-D0H3DNCfmbc.html
Hey Gregg.....THX for watching!!!! Yeah....that rack is a combination of the SKB case that I used to gig with....which is basically a ADA tube pre amp and a Real Tube pre amp running through a DOD stereo chorus split to run two heads. Other stuff below is just studio outboard gear....BUT includes my ART SGX2000 preamp and efx module....which I saved sooooo long for. And now is quite cool to have. To this day can still get a GREAT tube sound from the direct out. Much better than any of these new found DI boxes LOL. Dont get me started on TONE man...cuz I can rant on that subject. But sounds like you can too 😉
Buzzbomb Records- Thanks for the info! Hey, I left another message on your “Five Albums” video; I’d like to talk. I have a proposition (perfectly legit and legal-like, bruh)...
Killer review. I am a huge KISS fan but I can’t come close to what you have, really cool seeing all of the variations you have , Double Platinum on cassette was my first 70’s KISS album, great video👍🤘🤘🤘
Hi John, great record, Double Platinum. I have seen the cover with no red letters many times because the red rubbed right off. We are all creepy, we are all nerds when it comes to our records. You are Gene's idea of a perfect customer. Great video. I love Kiss so I was excited to watch. Bill
