Thanks for your explanation I’ve had my second radiotherapy session at the Christie today for neroendocrine of my right mandible Ive been at the Christie for the last 12 years having monthly octoreatide injections and get on well still working and doing normal things but seeing the actual treatment being given is a huge help to understand better because when you’ve got the masks on all you can do is hear whats happening but seeing it makes sense thank you and all at the Christie .
So sadly Lou has since died from the cancer. Such a huge loss to the art world, and a tragedy for her family and friends. Lou’s work was extraordinary. ❤️
I would like to thank The Christie for everything they do. My brother, Gareth Longden, who is in this video, raised money every year for The Christie completing the Manchester to Blackpool bike ride ever year since our Gran passed away in 2010. In December 2021 he was diagnosed with a glioblastoma, he was then operated on and started treatment at the Christie of radiotherapy and chemo. He purchased a trainer which was setup at home for his bike, and he trained and then completed the Manchester to Blackpool bike ride with the surgeon that operated on him raising, as he says in the video, over £4,500+. Everything was looking positive for my brother until April 2023 when another tumour was found, he yet again had surgery and started chemo. Just over 3 months later we found out that treatment wasn't working and unfortunately he passed away on the 18th October 2023. I'm so proud of him for his charity rides and how he carried on like he was going to beat his brain tumour. And finally I'm extremely grateful that he was asked to be in this video as I can come and look at this whenever I please to see him and feel the tremendous amount of pride we have of him. x
I find fermented organic unsweet dairy products super helpful, both with managing my constipation and bowel regularity, as well as helping me keep weight on. I'm looking at radiation treatment in thw xoming months, and anxious over effectson the irradiated areas--specifically the tightening and constricting of the tissue. I think these exercises may help alleviate those effects. Thank you.
