The game is fun, but right now i feel like its a watered down/worse version of Granblue Fantasy Relink. I have some gripes with it that i will point out here. 1.Combat: The Combat feels stiff and kinda unresponsive. I kinda get that they dont want you to be able to animation cancel to many things, because you had less commitment from it. But man this only works if the animations in question are slow or not lingering for long. Its feels really bad for example if you get the SWITCH prompt, while using a skill and just spam the button in the hopes of maybe triggering it. Also because of the animation locks, i never used charge attacks on melee charakters or melee enemies in the air. 2.Camera: The Lock on Camera can be really shit sometimes. For example in the big bossfight at the Co-op mission my Camera really loves to lock onto enemies behind the actual boss and mess up my attacks a lot. Also it switches way to often around and can mess you up if you want to hit a specific weak point 3.Customization: I like the visual customization they have in the game. I feel like its an ok excuse for not having custom made characters to play as. However i beg the devs that we can later on unlock other active skills for our characters. Combat mostly boils down to spamming skills, because non of the melee charaters have actual interesting combo paths, so at least we should be able to have multiple skills for a given character. They should also definetly increase the skill count from 4 instead of 3. 4.Progression/Variety: This will make or break the game. I do like the way how we get loot and stuff. But for it to be impactful they have to give Legendary Items or items in general way more noticable passive buffs. This would then lead to people actually be creative and try to do multiple builds on a single character (my idea for alternative skills would also help here). For example right now Agil is meant to be a Tanky bruiser who can deal good damage. You could then make a build for him and maybe change skills around so that he becomes even more powerful or tanky, at the cost of his hp. Or even turn him into a supportish tank, decreasing his damage but giving him healing abilities to help his allies. Theres a lot of possibilities here. And yeah thats basically it. I personally am not a huge SAO fan and never played any of the other games. However i had a good time with the playtest and hope that the devs seriously do something with its potential. TLDR: Lock-On Camera sucks, Combat is stiff,unresponsive and lacks variety(Melee), More skill, character and build customization, Better itemization.
Most online games of this type will add proximity to the exp to encourage multi-player coordination. No one wants to load into a game, and there is someone doing their own thing when everyone else is working toward a common goal.

Playing this right now. About 25 hours in. Got it for black Friday in the ps store. Playing it for the first time since Dec 10th. But i was to far in to start over haha.
This game is so incredible. The world, music, characters, combat, story, all of it is phenomenal. Love that you're playing it. (Though it will be a bit jarring if you didn't play the first game, even so the opening cutscene explains most of it pretty well)
