@Matt-uq3in The spring drive tuna is amazing. I always wanted one but did not find one at a decent price. I am sure you will love it. Take care and thanks for stopping by.
Hi inspector . I bought a secondhand spork and really like it but my bezel insert is very faded and I’m not sure if Seiko do replacements on this model or if an insert from another model would fit?
@lefterismic3978 Thank you. I have all my watches in constant rotation, and they keep time since day one. I guess this is my secret to avoid unnecessary and costly services.
That first gen Monster is in amazing condition for the year ! It’s the first Seiko watch I ever owned and I wish I still had it , I have a gen 2 but not as cool as first gen .
@1968jpy The emperor tuna is my signature watch and an all time favourite together with the MM300 of course. It features a titanium core, a rose gold stainless steel bezel and a ceramic shroud for maximum protection. Monstrous and intimidating presence on wrist, the watch is an absolute beast !
@@inspector1973 inspector the latest edition of the original Padi turtle 🐢 has the lume pip at the three o’clock date wheel area . I’m actually thinking of getting another one lol 😂
The movement is likely to be just fine, since not even a year has passed since you bought it. I would suspect the movement is magnetized. Have a nice day.
Congratulations 🍾🎈🎉🎊 inspector looking awesome bro . Have seen these in person and tried them on . These are outstanding variations of the Seiko Turtle 🐢 line of watches 👍🏻💯
Definitely the Marine Master. Inspector I’m curious about one thing with the Marine Master and that is how does the Diashield hold up over time ? Curious about the Lume triangle as well.
@@1968jpy The diashield has a good resistance to scratches and it will hold up over time as long as you keep it in rotation with your other watches. No issues with the lume triangle. I am sure it is protected somehow as it is still packed with lumibright.
Interesting comparison Inspector . The awesome thing about this comparison is they’re both outstanding Seiko divers and they’re two different watches for different occasions. As you know now I have the MM300 but I also added the SPB105 because as awesome as the MM300 is it’s not an everyday wearer where as the MM200 is because it’s not as thick and heavy. I’m sure both of these awesome watches are getting plenty of wrist time . By the way nothing beats the MM300 . It’s the best diver watch made .
I totally agree with you. There is a plethora of options when it comes to choosing a divers watch, referring to Seiko of course 😂. However nothing beats the MM300. I call it the Alpha for obvious reasons.
Congratulations 🎈🍾🎉🎊 Inspector. Awesome Seiko diver acquisition. Do you plan on buying a stainless steel bracelet for this awesome samurai or are you going to keep it on the stock rubber strap?
@@1968jpy Wise choice getting the non-reduced MM200. In my opinion it is a better watch than the new releases of the MM200. Dial and handset are beautiful. I also prefer the 6R15 movement over the 6R35. Well done buddy and keep it up!
@@inspector1973 thanks and I totally 💯 agree with you. I tried on a few baby Marine Masters and didn’t like them plus I haven’t heard anything positive about the 6R35 movement. This SPB105J1 has perfect proportions and wrist presence and has been keeping perfect time .
@@TerryChimes123 I totally agree with you and it should be priced the same as the King Turtle if not less. Regardless of the price it is a nice watch to have.
One of my favourite cases of all time, I have owned one before but I've got a pretty small wrist. It would make me so happy if they released one that was smaller. Lug to lug so short too which is awesome. Nice video, nearly bought this exact watch a couple of weeks ago. Thank you 🤙🏼
@UE2012 Thank you for watching and for your nice words. It is truly a great case design and the short lug to lug of 48mm makes it wearable even on smaller wrists.
Bought mine black dial with bracelet in the year 2007 (or 2008?) when I got my first ever bonus. It has travel with me since then to many countries, through many phases in life - single, married, with kids. Still going strong with use marks and few services and part changes. Until to date it is still the best watch among my others - good size, bright lume, distinctive toolish look, easy to read hands etc.
Love your Seiko collection. I have Skx009 and recently got the slim turtle. It’s very comfortable on the wrist. Also been collecting gshock squares too.
@@inspector1973thanks, i have 41mm black bay with 15mm thick 22mm lug and 50mm length I can wear it so do you think MM300 will be wearable 😬? Also if you dont mined can you please tell me the measurements of the crystal on MM300 On black bay its large at32.5mm
@@mohnnadmercedes8246 The MM300 measures as follows Case 44mm, bezel 42 mm, crystal 30 mm, lug to lug 50 mm, thickness 15.4 mm. Strap size is 20 mm. It weighs 151. 5 grams on silicone band and 210 grams on steel bracelet. It is a little bit heavy and therefore you need to keep it tight on the wrist, otherwise it tends to flop around.
I agree with everything you have said - however, i thought this was a long term review? After 3 years of ownership, please tell us your thoughts. What have you learn't? I've had mine a few years too. I'd say, to any prospective owners out there: 1. 100% wears smaller and looks smaller than the stats would suggest 2. Yes - its a lump, but its weight disappears on your wrist in a matter of seconds. I've never noticed it once its on. 3. Bracelet micro-adjust - is so good. My wrist size changes constantly, weather / activity related - this is so easy to adjust on the go. 4. I have an Omega SMP and this is (in every way) a more impresive timepiece. 5. Bracelet - you'll hear moans (rightly) about Seiko bracelet quality. I have no issues with this one - I wish the clasp was milled, but its not and its absolutely fine. The bracelet absolutely goes with the case of th8s watch. 6. Value for money - I'd say it represents the best you can get for a quality dive watch - however, purchase used and this becomes extrodinarily good value. It'll depend on where you are and what you get I guess, but I sourced a 9 month old SLA021 in mint condition for £1800.00. I know the earlier 'Marinemaster' branded versions can fetch a premium, but I wouldn't get hung up on that. 7. Uniqueness - a monobloc case, where everything goes in from the front / a great Grand Seiko movement - hand assembled by a group of Ladies in a room in the Seiko plant / every part of the movement is CNC machined not stamped out like your run of the mill Omega's and Rolex's. Finally - you may have figured out that I am a huge advocate for this watch - like the Man says - get one, you will not be disapointed.
@@mohnnadmercedes8246 The MM300 bezel is thick, wide and chunky if you will but it has the best grip among the rest of the Seiko Prospex dive watches. It will turn with an excellent and satisfying feedback in any situation, either dry, wet or wearing gloves.
@@mohnnadmercedes8246 it is thicker than most, but the watch isnt a lightweight deinty thing to start with. I went to a Seiko boutique and had a look before i started looking for a used one in earnest.
