Always liked him, but just gained a whole lot more respect for Jamey. I always made it a point to never drink when depressed, so it never would become a bad habit...only drank once in awhile to celebrate or when already in a good mood. So nice to see someone like Jamey use his head instead of going down the bad road so many great musicians do that end their life too soon. If you're readin this Jamey....you're a legend and an inspiration to guys who grew up with Hank Jr. ... Merle and Waylon among others...and we love your heartfelt but true grit songs. We'd like for ya to stick around as long as possible to keep country true to its roots.
I was never into country other than some old school Waylon , hank jr and Willy then I stumble across this guys songs and every day for the past month all I can listen to is Jamey 👍
This man is real, he shares his life, heartache & humbleness with whoever will listen! I 💖 this guy for who he is & his beautiful voice & stories through his music! What a talented & smart guy he is! I'm so happy he made it through some rough seasons in his life (as most of us do)! But he came out better & can REALLY connect w/people! & HAT'S what it's ALL about in the music industry...plus he didn't cave in to the pressures of Trashville to be just one more cookie cut musician being churned out. Jamey Is Country, no doubt about it, he doesn't need all the accolades that most crave & change their missions for....& for that, I'm so very grateful! I truly love this man...but not more than my husband!! 😄☺️😬😉😉 Actually, my dearest husband's the one who lead me to JJ's In Color video on tv & I instantly connected AND started my love for him!! He's a genuine country musician and not many more like him! He does remind me a lil of Chris Stapleton too...just a little though. God bless him!
when I went tho my divorce I listened to Jamie and drank myself sober and he's a blessing in the music world ..when things go south he has a song for it all ..love this man and after my divorce and I got my head right I took myself to the beach and listen to him all the way there and the hole trip and back ..he's the man ..
I discovered this guy on RU-vid and ran out to buy his album..then I found out he had other albums..so I bought them all...seems they stay in my car and just play and play..I never get tired of that unique voice.
Dan MysteryMan His lonesome song album has been playing in my truck for probably 2 months non stop... I haven't got tired of it yet. Music means more to me when there is a story behind it. I just don't get off on most of those "country" singers today.
Jamey's a real mans country artist.Old school outlaw music has taken a back seat to this country pop BS??And it's refreshing to see a new Big Dog on top of this.
Hoss is smile'n down from above and George finally knows who the hell is gonna fill some shoes! I've give a shit to see anyone in concert in years....I'll go see Jamey.
Oh God! Someone put a bullet between that dumb bimbo's fuckin eyes!!! I wanted to rip out her vocal cords!!! Other than that this guy seems like the real deal, I hope he stays that way, cuz all this pop country shit needs to go away!!!!!!!
"I'm gonna write songs and I'm gonna sing and I'm gonna keep hittin' the road with a guitar in my hand and huntin' somebody that wants to hear it". . . God I hope so, he is the only salvation for Country music.
Um, yeah. I don't know who this chick is.................but "That Lonesome Song" is NOT Jamey Johnson's first album. "The Dollar" ,the song AND the album of the same name, came out in 2006. Seriously, get your facts straight if you're going to be a "journalist".
Did u hear what he said, he wrote about life experiences in a time of his life that real people can relate to. He's got the talent to make people feel it when he sings. that is the problem with todays country , it has no heart in it...What life experiences does Taylor Swift have ??? I agree jd Country Radio sucks today,I'm always looking for country legend station to listen too online!
