Based in Paris and Lyon, France, Origine films is both a production company and a sales agency for short films. Created in 2011, the company now represents for world sales more than 130 short films from more than 20 different countries, from drama to fantasy. Its aim is to create a network of young filmmakers throughout the world and to further explore possible future coproductions with the producers and directors the company represents as sales agent.

In the past years, Origine films produced or co-produced more than 20 short films, including 37°4 S by Adriano Valerio, Special Jury Mention in Cannes 2013 and David di Donatello for Best Short Film in 2014, and current festival hits The Black Bear, by Xavier Seron & Méryl Fortunat-Rossi, coproduced with Hélicotronc and Magritte for Best Short Film 2016, and Tuesday, by Ziya Demirel, selected in Cannes 2015, Toronto, Sundance, Rotterdam and many more.
