I was surprised at how soulful the deck was like you mentioned. I love Lilith and Hecate featured. All the cards are badass though. My only gripe is the size. It’s too long to riffle shuffle horizontally and too narrow to riffle shuffle vertically, at least for my small hands. I hope they don’t start using this size.
Oh wow, I forgot this was coming out. I'm interested to see what Tess has to say in the guidebook. Looking forward to your follow-up thoughts. ❤️ Edit: ok I'm back, I just ordered this deck and the Land of Giants oracle 😅 I decided not to wait
So many of my favourite Jasmine pieces are in this deck & I’m so happy the cards aren’t shiny. I’ve had to add it to my wish list. Hasn’t been released in the U.K. yet. I had no idea about it so thank you so much for sharing it with us 🖤♥️ I will gift my Halloween Oracle as soon as I get this one to replace it. The Halloween oracle doesn’t give me enough to work with either. I don’t love the landscaped images either in any decks so I’m glad there aren’t many of them.
I can’t wait to add this to my collection! I have been using the Queen Mab oracle ever since the video you talked about using it to connect with Lilith. I have also had some powerful messages this year. I have high hopes for the Halloween Forever oracle.
Hi 👋 beautiful soul! I’ve had this deck for a few weeks now, and I will agree, she definitely has a different type of energy than her other decks that I have, Les Vampires, Alice in Wonderland and the Queen Mab oracle. Halloween Forever seems to be just as stern as Queen Mab with a slightly warmer tone to her as if she’s the grandmother rather than the older sister. That’s what she feels like to me. ❤ 🖤 💜 By the way, I adore this top of yours! Where do you find your clothing these days? I used to find and buy so many sexy strapped tops like that, now it seems they’re tough to find.
I saw this video pop up and ordered the deck before watching it. I knew immediately that I was gonna love this deck. It did not disappoint at all. I’m getting a second copy, just because lol 😝
hi 😊 i wanted to ask you, in your opinion, what are the best decks to use to tell stories. writing stories using tarot is something that fascinates me a lot but i also believe that there are decks that are more suitable for this type of activity. could you advise me something about it? thanks 😍
As always, thank you Raecine !…just recently started the daily draw some weeks ago to learn the cards and it has been amazingly effective. Haven’t been inspired when using the cards past couple days though. I never thought of shaking things up so to speak, and just switching decks. So simple. Still a novice at this but enjoying every bit, thanks again !!
STUNNING deck!! I've never been an oracle deck gal, but every card I felt something with. Have it in my Etsy cart, just need to save up for it, great to know she is here in TN as well. Also love your rings, so lovely. I was laughing with your pronunciation, reminded of me when I moved here, someone told me "it's pronounced "Apple at cha", and if ya say it wrong, I'll throw an apple at cha!" Can't wait until I get my hands on this deck!
Thank you for bringing this up with the unboxing Racine. As the creatrix of a few self-published tarot & oracle card decks myself, I can absolutely relate to the time, energy, and expense of curating and agonizingly putting together every single detail of your own project and putting it out there for the world to judge. It hits different when you are self producing and distributing your own art. I have invested in several other decks by other artists and will be releasing my own decks once I feel that they are ready but I am doing so with the full knowledge that some people are always going to have a bone to pick with me but that’s okay. The right people will always find us ❤
The Possessions card is actually my grandmothers Corningware dish I inherited from her. I use it all the time. I think of her and her broccoli casserole and grits casserole she would make in them as I recreate her recipes.(they are indestructible)
I’m interested in hiking the AT in a few years and was preemptively fussing about not being able to access all my decks for months. But if there’s a cool regional deck like this??? I’d be happy to stick to just one that’s hyper relevant to the land I’d be on. Worth price.
So grateful for you showing this deck as it had completely slipped under the radar for me. Paused your video to go & purchase it. My Loputyn Oracle is going to be paired with this deck, at least I hope they agree to work well together ♥️ 🖤
I don't normally comment on videos, but this deck is so moving. I am from the very lower part of Appalachia (where it's hard to distinguish from deep south), and my family on my mother's side is from deep in Appalachia. They still don't have running water and electricity in some places. It's so beautiful to see how many of these cultural artifacts and images are relevant to people all the way up the east coast. Appalachia is so often a forgotten place, and it's so meaningful to see it be appreciated in its full complexity. Appalachia is often strange and dark--I think the revival card and the belief card with the church and bible images really strike at the heart of that--but it's also home to stunning, mysterious environments and habitats. The possessions card with the dish also embodies this; there's a balance between the love and care of preparing food in a dish, and the love of our grandmothers, and the darker side of possession and family ties. Thank you for showing this deck off and appreciating it fully.
Love the new place Raecine. Nice and quiet. No more trucks and cars wizzing by in the background. 😄 I live in Central NY and the images are very familiar to me as well. My birthday is coming up . I may just have to splurge. Lovely deck.
I moved to Appalachia from the Northeast about 5 years ago. Admittedly I'm still finding my footing and acclimating my practice to the landscape from what I'm used to. But I feel this deck might really help me to root in and connect to the land.
Raecine, could you see using both (or either) decks to enhance a connection with Hekate? She is my main deity and by looking at the art, I am feeling a possibility but I would appreciate any insight from you. Thank you.
Thank you, i was a little frightened to use shadow cards, But your reading truly resonated with me. Thank you so much for sharing. Have a Blessed Day ❤️🍁🪄
I liked the barrier photo, but I'd have had that as the graveyard tree seeing as it had died and is laid to rest. Great deck and I feel that black and white photography shows the soul of the person and place where colour is too busy.
That particular graveyard tree is situated/growing in one of the four corners of a very old cemetery by a one room schoolhouse. Which is why I chose the name🙏🖤🌳The folklore on graveyard trees is quite interesting. I always wandered why certain trees were found in graveyards.
I have some of those dishes too! Love her work and have both decks in my cart now. I feel so drawn to them, brings back so many memories a stirs a lot of feelings. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Wow, the art in this deck is beyond gorgeous! My favorite one is the “ Star” for the moment but there are soo many gorgeous ones! It looks like it also has seasons! Swords being winter. Very very cool! Could I use this deck when I have never worked with tarot deck before? Thanks! 🍂🍁🍂
I love your necklace! 😍I didn’t know about the boxing! That sounds magical indeed..I usually don’t connect to photography but these two decks pull me in and make me feel connected. I love the “wishing” , “ boundary” and few others especially..Thank you for sharing 🍁🍂🍁
This deck ( and the Hollar Moon) reminds me of old country music - the story songs, a banjo, or an old beat-up guitar. Her photography is stunning. I think I need this one too :) I really liked hearing your connections to the individual cards.
