Hey, Raimon! I’ve been thinking about you now the miniseries is about completed. Check my channel in a couple months please, I’ll have a link to the entire film project, 5 hours long in four parts. I’d love to have you see it after all these years. X
My favorite song by Victoria Byers! I hadn't listened to this song for quite a while, but had to hear it after dreaming about it this morning while asleep.
Many people have contributed their talents to the actual production of the film, at 'homegirl' discounts, or volunteered, working for gas money and meals. The studio, and set elements are being generously provided by a friend from Burning Man who is also in indie film, at friendly rates. Our shoestring budget means I drape and sew the costumes, design and build the sets, provide meals, and direct, write, sing, play and produce. My dance teacher Karin Jensen offered her pro troupe, and class!
Thank you for watching the trailers and for your remarks! The facts are that I have been developing this film for 12 years, and am now in principle photography. I've had a devil of a time getting anyone to take this project seriously! I've submitted it to agents, and studios, and never got a pitch meeting. I've just completed 4 years of film school, I also learned to use ProTools to augment our professional recordings. The project is completely self-financed. No outside money, me & my boyfriend!
It's such a great angle, looking into a story that I can't seem to pull away from. The quality of film And editing is done so well I have to wonder who backed up this project. Because they did such a great job I look forward to seeing the whole projects.
Hi Clarissa, the entire project was financed by myself and my husband. The length of time from conception to finished product has been 21 years, 9 of them in production and post. Now that it's complete, I'm anticipating doing a few local screenings here in Los Angeles as well as online as a series of Facebook lifestreams. Please find the project on Facebook search "The Secret Life of Mary Magdalene".
